Although why time travel would suddenly change time is anyone's guess. Cell saga was nothing but alternate universe time jumps, Marvel style. (Whis is also a big hypocrite. 5 seconds into the past is still traveling into the past to change history.)

I'm waiting to see how much different the manga is compared to the anime during this part.

I am glad you like the show.

I like the manga better overall for sure. But the anime is actually doing a really good job with this Black Saga

If only FuTrunks looked better. But hey, at least he reached SSJ2.

It looks like he actually got younger and less buff somehow.

It did seem to be a self-fulfilling prophecy. By seeing if he was Black, they planted the seeds for Black to be created.

Its seeming to be the case, unless they do a 180 and make it someone else.

The one reason I think it might be someone else is that Goku said the energy wasn't exactly the same. But we can also see that the guy was holding back his true self according to Beerus. And he does seem to share Black's sentiment that humanity should be eradicated. And it could be that corruption is what they mean when they say Black isn't a Kai. Like maybe he became Black before it became official or something.

I already said they fed him Goku by bringing Goku there. Also, they compared Goku to Beerus in that episode.

^I found that strange, given that he was just using SSJ2. Does the Kaioshin have no idea how powerful a GoD is?

I didn't take that seriously when Goku compared to Beerus. It wasn't said in such tone. It was more like ''How can someone be so powerful outside of ''Gods''.

Maybe that Kaioshin was another red herring like Monaka. 😛

The future Trunks and 18 moment was priceless. Decent episode.

Really good episode. This arc has been quite cool so far and I'm really enjoying the whole mystery angle. The new Kaio seems quite cool. And, yes, that Trunks/18 moment was great.

On a different note, I'm assuming that "humans" refers to mortals rather than just earthlings.

Yea that is kinda unclear. They specifically say Goku is a saiyan. Which makes the Kai hate humans even more??

I think the kai meant all mortal humanoids (like recoome and saiyans), not specifically only Earth humans.
