The cloak was meant for a few reasons. It's an easy way to highlight that he will be important but also basically prevents speculation on his based on design since he has none, meaning he is always in the back of the audiences mind. Otherwise he is just another weird looking alien and we don't know why he matters. Another reason is the gag at the expense of the dramatic reveal. In a post-Naruto world, having the mysterious guy turn out to be a goofy looking super sentai dude is funny.

That sounded much douchier than you intended I'm sure.

I'm personally tired of goofy reveals though. There are plenty of goofy characters who compliment the series quite well, a hooded figure with insane power could have gone for a little edgier/cool feel.

I really hope we don't have like a half dozen or more episodes or Goku putting together the team for the tournament when the show comes bac on after the long week hiatus.

So I understand Vegeta recently went super saiyan god in the manga? (god as in the initial red form, not blue) What's up with that?

If we had to have another 2 week wait, I feel it should've been after this and the next episode, as the latter one will mainly just be about universe 7 finding its other recruits. Yawn.

But whatever, still kinda like Toppo. Wonder which fighter Jiren is.

also called it Goku didn't lose. Im wondering how anyone is gonna stand a chance in 40 hours to get up to not just get thrown out if so many fighters are gonna be God level.

Is there evidence to suggest God Vegeta is stronger than Vegeta Blue? Don't want to start another 'which form is stronger' debate unless there's more to go off of...

I was going to defend Roshi being in Team Universe 7 but seeing as the Tournament of Power is one big battle royal, I think it's a bad idea. With the stakes so high in this upcoming fustercluck, Goku should just use the dragon balls to revive Frieza. It's his universe too so he'd have no choice but to join.

Tbh I dont like the fact that Toppo was already on par with SSJB Kaioken Goku... I mean the tournament barely started.

Goku didn't use kaioken against Toppo. It ended before using it. Goku was more powerful than Toppo... Toppo would die. Jiren is the one to be the real match for Goku.

Well, there is some new red form aura (definitely not kaioken) in new intro of DBS.

Maybe Goku has new transformation in his sleeve, maybe also the reason he has shown SSJ Blue with kaioken so early.

In the manga it was considered to be a step down from blue, but its stability gave Vegeta the stamina to wear black down by transforming into blue for a split second only when be landed punches and whatnot on Black. He kept on for the stamina, and blue for the brute strength basically.

I didn't care for it, but Black fused with Zamasu after all in the end so that was cool I guess.

This. I said this earlier. Goku used his super Saiyan blue a little too early in the tourny. I think he is going to take advantage of that 39 hour time frame and after they find the fighters, he is going into the chamber for training. 24 hours gives him a yr to gain a new ability or become more powerful. Goku is fighting desperately right now.
