Completely agreed. Goku needs to get his ass handed to him/suffer the consequences of his insatiable need to fight at the expense of (literally) all else.

I don't necessarily want Goku to get his ass beat. He should lose pretty much all his friends and family though, lol. Goku can be a selfish manchild villain protagonist all he wants. He shouldn't be tolerated by his friends after being one though, unless they are also intended to be selfish monsters, which is stupid.

Even if all his friends began to hate him would he notice or care. He always acts like Vegeta is his bff, and. Vegeta still hates him just now doesn't want to kill him.

I don't think He gets hates him, he seems fond of Goku now

Why was that guy hidden? Are we supposed to recognize him?

Seems kind of pointless if the reveal is a new character nobody knows.

No point to it, either. Usually a big reveal is supposed to be big, like a recognizable character from Toriyama's other works, and not a "who's that, and why should I care?"

He's just one more new face in the crowd, far as I'm concerned.

Although he does look suspiciously famaliar. Space Lorax?

Is his backstory going to involve a planet full of trees?

If Toppo can't beat a SSJ1 Goku in one hit, he is not god of destruction level.

Goku is pretty got darn tough in all of his forms. His black hair form took an all out hit from Beerus and still lived. Fought Beerus in black hair for some time? Some of Goku Black hair fights are almost better than his Super Saiyan fights.

So that head angel said the universes get destroyed if Goku holds back, and not Zeno. Wonder if that means Zeno's actually under their control.

Maybe he's not stupid, but just brainwashed/controlled.

Or he could be as simple as he appears, and they're somehow manipulating him. I definately don't trust any of the angels now, not even Whis.

Agreed lol. I thought he was going to be much more badass.

It wasn't a mystery, it was just the reveal of a new character. We already knew who it was for some time now, btw.

A hooded character who only took off said hood in the last episode, it wasn't meant to be crystal clear or without significance either.

We live in the net age where interviews and magazine articles from around the world are easily accessible. This guy is named Toppo and is apparently God Tier. Also is a hero of justice.

The cloak was meant for a few reasons. It's an easy way to highlight that he will be important but also basically prevents speculation on his based on design since he has none, meaning he is always in the back of the audiences mind. Otherwise he is just another weird looking alien and we don't know why he matters. Another reason is the gag at the expense of the dramatic reveal. In a post-Naruto world, having the mysterious guy turn out to be a goofy looking super sentai dude is funny.
