True, but in the case of like Black I just found it more annoying since he only had regular super saiyan and such instead of Rose. Though to be fair, being that much weaker gave him a more valid reason to merge with Zamasu than in the anime where he was still OP as he was.

Ah yes. That too.

Toriyama himself basically said not too long ago (prior to this arc) that it doesn't matter what they even do now because of how huge Dragon Ball's become again, which to me is kinda their way of saying they don't have to give much a shit about consistency or things like that since they'll make good money off of Super regardless and the rabid fans out there will eat whatever they dish out. I don't want to paint this show as a cynical cashgrab, but that's sadly what it's looking more like now in some ways.

I knew that was the case when I saw how ****ing awful the animation was lol.

They could easily pay to have solid animation throughout the show, but didn't care to because they knew the Dragon Ball autists would eat this shit up like candy.

Dragonball was never good at consistency.

Just enjoy the ride and fights.

But the show is dog shit. How can I do that? mmm

Yea, anime fusion made no sense. And while Black did get Rose in the manga it's just not as OP, and Zamasu was weaksauce while in the anime he was a threat.

Not to defend that shit, but from what I recall hearing, Toei apparently didn't have their current best animators available for awhile during the show who were involved in other things then, which would explain why it suddenly got so much worse after the two movies. Toriyama wasn't happy with the early animation results either though, so I guess a consequential result of having some amateurs on board. To their credit though, they at least fixed the infamous animation problems on episode 5 and such well before they came out as english dubbed.

Eh, it's not really worse than Z when it has its moments. I enjoyed the Goku Black/Zamasu arc more than I ever did the Buu saga at least, for instance. It has some potential, though is often not met. I mean there's way better anime or series out there I enjoy too, but can still like this sometimes for what it is. Different strokes I guess.

The animation still wasn't very good as far as the Fusioned Zamasu fight, which I caught my sister watching. I don't buy that excuse. 👇

This is why I don't dedicate any of my free time watching it. I'm sure I could watch DBS and enjoy some aspects of it too. But why would I when there are mountains of much better anime past and present that I could be watching? And that's just anime. Why would I watch this when I could watch a great film I've never seen, or play a great video game?

Serious question: would you watch this show if it wasn't Dragon Ball? Be honest.

I seriously wouldn't. Though Super is actually the only anime I watch right now.. Course for the first time since it's aired I'm actually excited about the actual arc, and that's more because certain characters appearing or returning.

Course, since it's DB Super, all the hype and potential it could have will probably fall short anyway so I don't know why I am excited for it.

Manga is 100,000 times better than anime rn:

1. Supreme God Zamasu murks SSB Goku/Vegeta completely, instead of losing 2 consecutive beam struggles with them.
2. Merged Zamasu has perfect immortality, so he doesn't go purple.
3. Base Vegito fcking blows Zamasu's arm off ala Vegeta final flash vs perfect cell.
4. SSB Vegito ****s Zamasu's shit in moreso than in the anime before defusing and is implied to be more powerful than Beerus.

Yeah, it got better in the manga after the fusions, at least.

I don't really recall what was particularly awful about the fusion Zamasu part as far as that honestly, though if you were to enlighten me I'd be likely to admit it. Should be noted that Z's animation got worse or even sloppy sometimes too, though wasn't nearly as noticeable as the worst of Super.

Fair enough. I don't watch the successor to everything I grew up initially watching either. That said, nah. I wouldn't watch this if it wasn't Dragon Ball; easy question.

Even watching it, I still draw the line on some of the changes or some of the Toriyama apologists out there, or some sites that listed DBS as one of the best current anime when it hadn't done anything to earn it. 👇 Still like Dragon Ball to a point, but doesn't mean I'm that kind of fan/enthusiast.

Nah, I don't feel like searching through the fight for poor art and animation. Just accept my words as truth. 👆

Z is over twenty years old, first of all. But more to the point, yes you're right, and I honestly can only barely tolerate watching the show, even minus the shitty filler. It has aged fairly poorly, though not nearly as much as Fist of the North Star.

Yeah it's mad lame. 👆

That sounds like a confirmation to me to be honest from the manga.

Vegito > Beerus.

In manga, not in anime. In anime it wasn't even mentioned.

Anime arc was far more interesting than manga, of course because of Black. Black far less powerful and lesser threat... they never felt a real threat in manga. They made Black a pussy. Fusion Zamasu also in anime felt more glorious fusion than in manga. Said by Kai that Vegetto probably surpasses Beerus (although on a positive side it confirmes that Beerus is ridiculously more powerful than Goku). Although why to believe Kai, he isn't someone to be taken seriously when such powers comes in the game... if Whis said it, then that would mean something and not some weakling like Supreme Kai.

Oh come now, Fist of the North Star is much more watchable than DBZ. Even if the art style isn't the greatest because of it's age.

I mean where else will you find a guy laughed at because he throws dynamite as a martial arts?

Yeah kind of what I said.

Regardless it just confirms what was already known.

I would have taken it more seriously if someone like Whis said that and not Supreme Kai. Someone like him could have said that because of how impressed he was when he saw or sensed Vegito. Fusion Zamasu is such kind of opponent that Vegito could use a real deal of his power, something we haven't seen from Beerus at all.

And there is another translation where Kai just speculates if Vegito power might be greater than Beerus. He doesn't know actually.

Nemebro is such a Fist of the North Star fanboy, why is he even bringing such an obscure anime to this thread?

He probably has a Raoh tattoo in his arm.

Never seen this anime. I understand both series has similar power level output, but North Star looks corny and way to old fashion for me to start on. How does it age better than DB?

A "manly tears" Raoh?
