Zamasu held his own. Wasn't nearly the stomp Vegito vs Buu was.

True, but MZ could sorta keep up...
Though I've only seen like five pages so maybe Goku won't win even with this new random power up.

Eh, I'll take future Trunks wank over Goku wank far as merged Zamasu goes since it's the only time we'd get to see him shine like that. What little sense it made be damned; Spirit Sword ftw.

Like the Goku fanboys aren't catered to enough. Maybe they're worried their two remaining brain cells would lose interest and commit suicide, resulting in mass lawsuits.

What happened? Did Goku suddenly get way stronger?
Yeah, up until now in the manga, SSB has been an incomplete technique. Extremely powerful, but inefficient because of excessive ki leakage. Now, Goku's begun to master containing SSB's power within his body to maximize his use of it's power, which has bumped him up to Merged Zamasu level.
Originally posted by XSUPREMEXSKILLZFrom what it seems like, he's using something that hurts him like Kaioken except he isn't using Kaioken. The power that usually just flows out he's sealed inside his body, but it's harming him also.

Course most of the fight before fusing Goku wasn't actual able to use his full power because the Evil Containment Wave, and then he gets healed up after being beaten and nearly killed.
Initially, I liked the manga's interpretation of SSB. It made the form feel more unique and something you'd expect out of Hunter x Hunter. Now it's just SSJ circa cell arc. Goku using it to fight evenly with merged Zamasu is a real turnoff for me. But then again, so was Trunks' spirit bomb sword slash in the anime.
Started looking at one of the recent Masako videos again, and realized how I convenient forgot Toriyama once said this when talking about the conception of the super saiyan god-
"Red is a strong-looking color. I had already used gold, and blue doesn't look very strong. Visually-speaking, red is easy to understand."
Yet he later went with blue anyway just after BotG despite saying that; kinda funny looking at it now...

I don't like what is happening with SSB, BUT I am waiting for all the pages to come out to really hate on it. Cause so far it seems like Saiyan Saga Vegeta vs Goku all over again. Using a move that damages his body to try and take on a more powerful opponent. And probably still won't win.
Why don't you like what they're doing with SSB?
