So been thinking, if a GoD was defeated, would their angel attendant allow it?

Maybe that's part of the reason they have limited rewind powers. If a mortal upsets the balance, rewind.

The other reason would obviously be to reign in a GoD that destroys something they're not supposed to.

Of course. That mortal would then presumably become the next God of Destruction.

Are you saying they'd allow the defeat to stand and replace? Or rewind it, and with that knowledge offer them the job when the current one retires?

If the former, what if they refuse? 🙂

The former. If the mortal refuses, the angel becomes inactive until Zen-Oh appoints a new God of Destruction.

What if there's a plot twist that Goku already beat Beerus, and we just don't know it yet?

That would explain a lot, like why Beerus went back on his word of destroying Earth, why Whis is training Goku and Vegeta (Like he needs Vegetas food offer and can't have whatever he likes), or why Whis undid Freeza's victory.

Plus Beerus is always saying stuff like "you'll never make a God of Destruction at this rate", as Goku keeps saying he's not interested.

Beerus and Whis could very well be training Goku for a position he's already earned, but doesn't know it yet. 😉

Goku would make a terrible God of Destruction. They should give it to Vegeta. At least Vegeta can function mentally

In Dragon Ball, when a character (Whis) is orders of magnitude above a character (Beerus) that is orders of magnitude above another character (Merged Zamasu), numbers really don't matter.

And there may well be a bigger gap between Daishinkan and Whis than the one between Whis and Beerus. 😂

Although Vegito (who was questioned by Kai was his power rivaling Beerus, in other translation even surpassing it) too much for Merged Zamasu... thousands of them would humiliate Vegito. Beerus gets killed, Whis gets killed.

So its seems like episode 101 will be

Even Base Vegetto was capable of blasting Zamasu in half with a single attack. SSB Vegetto, who is probably something like 1000x stronger than base Vegetto, is arguably on par with or above Beerus, (though Supreme Kai's statement is hardly definitive). Whis could probably oneshot 10 Beerus's without much effort at all, based on the fact that he can subdue Beerus with a single, casual tap, and based on how numbers never really matter in DB. The Merged Zamasu army wouldn't even be capable of reacting to Whis, much less defeat him.

team up with Goku against the Troopers, maybe she just get temporarly knocked back into shy Kale form. Spoilers says Goku wants to fight Jiren but he sends the Troopers on him and he teams up with the female saiyans against them.
