Doesn't even have facial expressions, he's always grumpy.
Janemba has more background than him at the moment lol.
Still, I drank in all the hype with pleasure so I guess that counts for something right?
Originally posted by HueyFreemanI enjoyed his fight scenes in episodes 109 and 110. Crisp and quality animation. Excellent BGM as opposed to overused prior BGMs. Had me on the edge of my seat. I've rewatched that fight like maybe 10 times since its airing. Turn your brain off and Jiren is epic as hell.

Turn your brain on, however . . . and yeah . . . he is a garbage antagonist. 🙁 His whole motiff is "Look at me! I've got a YUGE power level!" In other words, every previous DBZ villain, but even less personality than the single worst antagonist this series had ever had up until this point (Kid Buu). And that just doesn't do it for me like it did way back in the day. When you go from seeing antagonists like Majin Buu to seeing antagonists like Dio Brando, Kira Yoshikage, Griffith, Younger Toguro, Chrollo Lucifer, Mereum, Char Aznabel, L and many others . . . why, it's like the difference between going from jerking off in the bathroom to having actual sex with an actual girl.
What they should have done is not even fool with the Universe Survival Tournament until after maybe 3 or 4 additional story arcs. Give things time to build up and develop instead of blowing your wad immediately. Instead of telling us that the omni king thinks there are too many universes, show us this over the course of multiple arcs. Make the build up natural instead of just out of nowhere. And while all of this is going on, Goku encounters the Pride Troopers during one of these arcs, encounters Jiren and what we get is not some bland gray dude whose entire gimmick is "I have a BIGGER BIGGER number than yours!", but maybe something unique . . . like basically having Gohan's personality, but without the desire to ever slack off from training. That could make for a nifty antagonist if done right!
I will say one thing though: I am REALLY liking the direction they are taking with Frieza. That's the kind of antagonist this series needs. 😄
I loved seeing Jiren in action and the last episodes as much as the next person, but he's a walking character void.
As much as I like Hit though, he's been around an acceptably long time in the tournament, and as pointed out it's past due for some major hitters to be taken down... I'll accept whatever happens though between Hit vs Jiren, but meh.

Im not even a big freeza fan like the fanbase and more and more Im finding myself digging him. Whats interesting is the best I can describe freeza current development is the "anti-vegeta" . Almost like an anti version of vegetas transition during the cell saga. Its like hes gotten a dose of humility from his defeats and that humility has instead of making him softer its made him more dangerous and able to look at things more logically. Hes becoming worse because hes becoming calculating along with powerful

At least, unlike Vegeta, Freezas motives are bigger than defeat Gokou. Even though RoF it was his downfall and he still wants to kill the Saiyans but he's got bigger plans.
Yep, remember when he said he is going to take Zeno thrown. I think him seeing all of this power, potential, and titles will push him to The point of wanting to take it.
Certainly.
Only way this is possible, is if the Super Dragon Balls are > Zeno, and Freeza steals the wish.
Was also thinking, the excuse of Freeza's "golden form" is that he's a genius. In a way, it's a copy of SSJ, modified for his race. He"s so much of a genius, he even perfected the technique while immobile..
So what if this extends to Ultra Instinct? Maybe he's smiling because he realizes how it's done, and thinks he can do the same thing? Or even improve it?
Originally posted by cdtmYup this is what I was thinking too. Frieza needs to be the final villian for DB. It would be so fitting and a perfect ending.

Wonder if Beerus ordering planet Vegeta's destruction will come into play?Goku probably wouldn't care, but Vegeta sure would..
