Jiren should really one shot Hit. We already saw how much trouble he was having with Dypso, and SSJ Kaioken X20 was absolutely nothing to Jiren, while a mere X10 was tearing up Hit pretty badly.

Hit will put up a fight judging by the previews, and even take a few shots. And it'll be 100% pis.

Remember, Hit was adapting against Jiren and he really isn't cutting lose yet. Hit should do just fine against an uncontained Jiren. Once Jiren starts unleashing, that's when it is over. One shot, naah, but out right stomp? Yes.

Hit was leveling out with Goku x10 at that tournament though, and now he's much stronger.

True he was. Unless you go by the manga.

Hit caught up to KK x 10 Goku just fine thanks to his "improvement" ability. An ability I'm sure will "mysteriously" be forgotten in the upcoming episode.

👆 In the manga, his 100% was SSG level, and he couldn't maintain it because he hadn't been training. That said, next time we see him, he will probably have re-mastered that power and be a rival to Goku/Vegeta.

But with Hit it was more that his was improving his abilities or techniques rather than raw power.

True. He still should be nothing but a pest to Jiren though. I've seen some major spoilers on this fight but I'm not going to ruin it for you all.

Not surprised about the low ratings. Goes right back to what I've been saying for a while. One of hte commentators on that video summed it up perfectly:

I mean when you take a character like Jiren who has had no buildup besides being incredibly strong, and put him in a fight with no narrative weight behind it, AND you give my nigga Goku a new form that’s only been reference three times max in the past, people ain’t gonna like it. Just because they hype up a fight doesn’t mean it’s well written or actually hype to see. Good combat, and good animation in general, but I wasn’t invested at all beyond “nice, Goku is winning. Oh, Goku lost.”

Real shame about the ratings, I thought things were finally looking up. I knew the whole new series thing was essentially like trying to capture lightning in a bottle one last time, I knew it wouldn't last all that long in this era but...already? Damn...I don't know what more Toriyama can do.....Super might not last much longer...

I guess like all of us, everything has to die one day...it's been fun guys.

I mean, if they wouldn't put it on Sunday mornings, and put it in a good time slot where they can recapture the epic fights of Z it might get better.

The ratings are fine. Better than most other anime. Plus, it's doing very well outside of Japan. By far better than any other anime currently airing. No need to panic.
