Jiren uses the fluke to escape Hit's trap, comments on Hit's worthiness as a fighter before summarily knocking him out of the ring (though without the reused ki blast finisher animation from the Kale episode).
Agreed, that would have been way better for Hit's "team player" moment, even though it wouldnt have woked.
Or even better, Hit beats Jiren, DBS fans get their first taste of Hunter x Hunter style genre deconstruction and Vegeta faces off against Hit in the finale, with Vegeta being crowned the champion and Goku being left out of the spotlight for once. Goku then spends the next arc trying to catch up to Vegeta for once. 👆

Do you think Vegeta could do to Jiren what he did to Black?
Doing what,... after 6 months of training in ROSAT (6 months) and still absolutely doing no damage to Black, not a single bruise (after 6 months 🙂), only making Black more powerful to mock Goku and Vegeta together and could kill them with ease.
Tell me carver... do you agree that Black is a better and more powerful version of Goku (and Goku is already catching up with Jiren?). Think about it... what does that tell you 😉
Does Black from episode 64 stand a chance against Jiren? Nope.
Was Goku from episode 64 ready to face Jiren and do good? Nope.
Was Goku from episode 109 ready to face Jiren and do good? Yup.

That sound fun and different to watch. That was bound to never happen 👆

Lol...Vegeta was curbing him. He did damage. Black couldn't even get up and Vegeta lifted him up by the head and kicked him off. This is a far lesser powerful Vegeta. Vegeta now is a different beast and Jiren would still treat him like fodder. Goku Black isn't a threat to Jiren and he would get one punched killed. Super Saiyan 2 Goku almost gave him a heart attack during their first encounter with a punch.

Yes and then after first fight with Goku, Base Black schooled SSB Vegeta 🙂
Is that why Vegeta (after 6 months of training 🙂) after beating Black and a final blast said ''I know you're not defeated just by that'' and after that Black comes up with completely no damage and smiling and was powering up further. Is that the damage you are talking about?
Is that why Vegeta (after 6 months of training) and Goku together would get killed by prefusion Black with ease after such a beatdown from Vegeta? Hahahahaha
Even after everything I'd still pick Vegeta as a dad over Goku, Vegeta will always be best dad in my eyes.
YouTube video
Hopefully we see some Dad-ish Vegeta with Cabba next episode, or since it isn't his son maybe "Prince" style Vegeta since he finally gets to command some Saiyans for once. Although I'd love to see Frieza get to enjoy himself with wiping out Saiyans from another universe...I saw some spoilers about
Spoiler:but I'd much rather if that changed by the time the episode airs and it's actually
Goku eventually getting a rematch with Kale and overwhelming her
Spoiler:.
Frieza beating down Kale, at least I hope he gets the final blow maybe like when Goku is showing mercy to her or something and Frieza pops in with a Death Beam and a Ho Ho Ho.
Frieza is probably my favorite character this arc by far, my favorite scene still (Besides the entire episode of his return and enjoying killing all those pawns from U9) is when he was just torturing the Yardrat and put him in a state of where he could possibly die then eliminated him. Gotta make a statement to show the rest of the participants the consequences of messing with Frieza lol. In a perfect world I'd like for Goku actually not to be able to tap into that Ultra Instict form again (for now at least) and actually Frieza be the one who learns it or his own ruthless version this tournament further showing his insane latent potential.
About last episode though I wonder if since Hit knew he couldn't win by a certain point if he realized Goku was watching and remembered that's how Goku built up a strategy to defeat him in their first encounter so it was like his last ditch effort hoping Goku picked up on something Jiren was doing.

Vegeta said he wasn't damaged because Vegeta didn't hit him with anything. Vegeta was curbing black. Goku curbed him and Zamasu. Black is impressive but no where near as impressive as you are making him out to be.
