Well, this is just my opinion, but the duel between Vegeta and Beerus, the dialogue before and after it, and even the recent preliminary ToP match struck me as foreshadowing for Goku/Vegeta learning mastery of self movement and reaching Beerus level this arc. Now we know at least one of those things is true; the other probably is as well.
Timestop didn't work on a weaker version of Goku...so why is everyone all hyping up Jiren's power cause it didn't work on him? I'm sad Hit lost, though somehow Hit did better than ssb kkx20 Goku. I was half expecting one or all the u7 Saiyans to attack Jiren when he appeared in front of Hit after knocking him past Cabba though. ssj2 Cabba attacking Jiren to no avail, but giving Hit a breather/enough of a distraction that the blast wouldn't have worked.
Also that blast knocked Hit out o f the ring, but the same technique only made Kale fall to the ground...Kale > Hit. XD

It's his technique after the time stop that was impressive. Also, during their rematch, Hit became far too powerful for Goku and his time skip abilities were working to the point of him being able to kill Goku, with ease. What Jiren endured>>>>>>>>What Goku endured during their first fight in the tournament.

...KKx10 Goku breaking through Hit using time skip once is orders of magnitude below Jiren breaking out of Hit's continuous time skip that was specifically targeted at Jiren. Oh, and a vastly more powerful Hit too, with a vastly greater time skip.

It was a long time ago confirmed that nothing in Hit arsenal would affect Champa when Hit shit himself when Champa wanted to go on rampage on universe 6 team because they lost.
Jiren is a monster. Goku was a far better match against Jiren than Hit (not counting LBGoku) and Goku without LB form would destroy Hit as well.
Ribrianne had a pep talk from her pal and that might buildup for her to achieve a new form.
