Toriyama interview info:
1. Vegetto didn't appear in Toriyama's original draft during the black arc. Toyotaro did it to appease fans, which Toriyama thought was a good idea.
2. Merged Zamasu wasn't supposed to be that strong, in Toriyama's original draft 2 SSB's could defeat him.
3. I'd argue the manga is more canon than the anime, as Toyotaro had Toriyama personally approve and make corrections to his manga adaptation: "For the future Trunks arc, most of the time Toriyama approved Toyotaro's manga rough drafts on the first go-round, but he did offer corrections at times."

Or Akira will be like that's a better idea and junk. Toei just does what they want. Always have. That's why Vegeta's colro scheme was messed up in the saiyan arc. That's why Goku could take Super Buu in the anime. That's why Kid Buu didn't slaughter ssj1, and ssj2 Goku like he did Vegeta.
What do you think about the manga being more canon than the anime? Or at least more accurate to Toriyama's original draft?
Both the Anime and the Manga are Canon material. The manga is following the Anime anyways. It can't write everything that is shown in the Anime due to conserved pages, but, the Manga is pulling it's material from the Anime with a couple of changes. It's impossible for the Manga to be more Canon than the Anime since the Manga is feeding off of the Anime. It's like saying everything that is happening in the Anime right now isn't Canon until the Manga produces it's material.
And Carver thinks the manga is adapted from the anime.
We know this isn't true. They're seperate projects, adapted from the same script. This is why you get Super Kaioken in one, and mastered SSJ Blue in the other, and different "filler" fights like Beerus vs Vegeta, Trunks vs Goku, and the God of Destruction tournament in manga, and Vegeta vs Trunks or Goku vs Hit rematch in the anime..
Carver, the manga isn't adapted from the anime. Toriyama sends his drafts to both Toyotaro and Toei, and they both do their own adaptations.
The catch is that Toyotaro also has Toriyama look over his work to see if Toriyama approves it/see if Toriyama wants to make any changes, whereas Toei just does what they want without Toriyama's direct approval/consent. Toriyama is the ultimate canon, so I'm gonna assume the Source he looked over and approved has more canonicity than the source that has no approval/consent from Toriyama.

He is approving both though. Him reviewing things doesn't take away from the fact that it is approved material from the same guy. Both are just as Canon and both WILL be used as material for any Z fighter.
