Regardless of the type of space-vessel the Pride Troopers use, they still MUST be astronomically FTL if they are covering galactic++ distances in [seemingly] short periods of time... Remember, these guys protect their entire universe.
For example, even if their ships were 'only' capable of flying 200x c, it'd still take them roughly 500 years just to travel across a galaxy the size of the Milky Way. Since the Pride Troopers are evidently very effective in their universal protection, something tells me it isn't taking them hundredS/thousandS of years to get from planet-to-planet.
Not trying to speed-wank here, but Jiren being able to fly faster than said ships honestly IS pretty damned uber, imo. I really can't see why he wouldn't be vastly FTL based on that alone..? /shrug
Well, that 200c ship took Goku across U7 to get from Earth to Namek in 6 days, even though that wouldn't even get you to the nearest Solar System in real life, so... I wouldn't fuss over the specifics too much, personally; a little suspension of disbelief needs to be applied here. Just like with Hit and his "0.1 second" time skip, yeah?
Thinking about it, UI Goku's final attack wasn't really "that" impressive.
He pretty much did the same thing Roshi did, and caused about the same amount of damage. When you consider Kefla was said to be strong enough to cut Goku in half with a stay bolt, and he hit her head on with his best shot, it's pretty obvious even UI was far less powerful than Kales current level.

Seeing Dragon Ball was conceived from Journey to the West, with it's entire cosmos fitting well within a solar system..

The current/retconned cosmology tells us there are now "countless" galaxies within the universe -- and Jaco even used the Milky Way as a reference point(which implies that the galaxies/universes of nowadays are meant to [at least loosely] mimic 'real' galaxies/universes.) Imho.
Anywho, I'm not quite prepared to handwave away the notion that Jiren's flight speed is FTL... Not yet, at least. /shrug
