Because things have changed with regards to our perception of Beerus. The minute he began fighting off the GoD's in the manga, all of which Goku considers too strong for him to fight, it becomes clear that Beerus is in a league of his own even among the GoD's with only 2 possible equals.

As there is not much in the anime that contradicts Beerus being that powerful we have no reason to dismiss it.

👆

Whis’s statement has been retroactively decanonized, because even current SSJB Goku would defeat RoF Goku and Vegeta in a single attack. Silly argument.

Carver, you also seemed to neglect the fact that Goku and Vegeta aren’t actually working together. At least not in the way Whis implied.

Crazy Carv being Crazy.

So what are they going to do now? Vegeta's out of gas. If this was Goku, he''d just fight on and magically recover.

Can Android #17 give him a transfusion?

It'd ridiculous they're still in play. Jiren should be running a train on them, but I know it doesn't make sense to complain about it.

Anyways, that was fun. Toppo went out a little before his time, but Vegeta got to be the one to break the God of Destruction.

Vegeta is back to blue in the next episode....

I mean Jiren almost killed him then he powered up, Toppo put a whoopin on him then he powered up.

I guess he will just power up....haermm

I can't quote a couple of you all but even though Beerus did great "in the beginning" against the Gods, Zeno wasn't impressed, at all. Now looking at Zeno expression per the fights that is going on in the tournament of power, he is highly impressed, especially when he see the output of power and calling Jiren strong and unstoppable. This explains a lot imo.

Also, Beerus was just as battered as the last God that was standing facing him one on one during the ending of the G.O.D fight. If he was above the Gods, he would've taken them out with no problem at all but that wasn't the case. He was battered, standing facing another God that was just as battered and it came down to the last hit. Also, we have seen Beerus fight against Champa and they seem pretty got darn even with no winner.

@Supreme...

They are working together though and Whis gave no definition on the type of work together. Hell, they are coordinating plans against Jiren in mid battle (Goku nodding at Vegeta, Vegeta flying in the air charging up while Goku fight Jiren. Goku flip Jiren around, grab him and Vegeta final flashing him). I don't know what type of "fighting together" you're talking about because it can't get any better than what they are doing tbh.

Eh it's a Dragon Ball thing. I'm fine with it personally particularly since the heroes aren't the only ones evolving over the course of the tournament(U6 Saiyans, Second Kamikaze Fireballs, Paporoni's mechs, Ganos).

Beerus vs Champa... TWICE

They are dead even, both times. Watch the excuses rise.

?????

Zen-Oh wasn't impressed because he literally couldn't comprehend who was fighting who because the Gods were so strong. You essentially just hurt your own argument.

Yes, Beerus and Quitela are implied on par with each other. They are the two strongest Gods. Beerus was the last one standing alongside Quitela DESPITE the fact that the other Gods were ganging up on him in the beginning.

And yes, we've seen Champa and Beerus briefly fight multiple times. I guess Champa is one of the stronger Gods of Destruction. 👆

The Gods of Destruction can be generally relative to each other and still be solidly inferior to Beerus.

Vados also claims Beerus is stronger based on appearance and nothing contradicts her.

Besides a squabble between two brothers is not the same as a fight to the death.

😂

Whis literally says that Goku and Vegeta are working so poorly together that it's throwing Jiren off-balance. Whis's statement in the beginning of Super was that they could defeat Beerus if they worked well together. It's a completely and utterly irrelevant comparison.

What's relevant is the fact that SSJB Goku before the tournament could oneshot RoF Goku and Vegeta...and yet is still orders upon orders of magnitude inferior to the Gods of Destruction.

And honestly isn't that better for feats anyway? The fact that Champa and Beerus having a particularly nasty squabble can end in multiversal destruction is pretty neat imo.

Where was it said that Zeno wasn't impressed because of the power the Gods displayed? I need to see this.

Quitela was one of the Gods that ganged up on Beerus and he still stood face to face with him at the end. Beerus is either above all of them or there are some (or all) that are equal to him.

Sigh... so now Champa is the 3rd strongest G.O.D. on the field? This argument is all over the place. Please give a ranking from 1 down to the last God from strongest to least strong and explain your reasoning.

So all of them ARE close in power? Is this what you are implying?

I want to see how far you all will go with this denying...

Goku power RIVALS the Gods.

YouTube video

Goku power RIVALS the God of Destruction...

YouTube video

I can do this all day and I will get nothing but denial posts.
