Personally, I like how the manga ToP has people knocked out in droves. That's how a battle royal of this sort should work. I mean, how often do they knock themselves through five miles of hills? Even Freeza Saga Freeza and Buu Saga Buu would have been eliminated by Piccolo and Trunks.
That said, I don't mind how rapidly the manga's rendition of the ToP is progressing at all. I just hope it does the main battles justice, at least.
Given how lose of a coreography is used on most modern Dragon Ball fights I would like them to be better written and shorter in general. There is no point in animating a bunch of people getting hit if it seems as if punches never mattered, that's not how real fights work.
I'm fine with how fights are written in the Manga, still not gold but at least it's to the point.

So, what does the future hold for this series?A movie or two and then they'll get back to it or what?
After that, the franchise's fate is unclear... Though I won't at all be surprised if they continue the TV series, given how damn popular/profitable it was. /shrug

I think the movie being released later this year will give us that hint. I don't think they should do another series.

Thanks, guys.
And no doubt said movie will be retold in Super, making people complain about crappy animators and the pace of the show again...
Been hearing actually that they'll be taking their time more before bringing Dragon Ball back again as a TV series, having learned their lesson from treating early DBS as a rushjob where they had to cut corners with the animation to get it out on time due to time constraints, etc, but I guess we'll see.
