That would be best. Super did leave it pretty open ended with Frieza being alive. So I hope that thread gets resolved at some point

Freeza must never turn good. Would ruin his character.

Goku's real superpower is reforming villains.

Yeah, but Freeza's like Emperor Palpatine. He loves being evil, and that's why we love them. Reforming them basically kills their appeal.

What COULD work, is if Freeza pretends he's reformed, and Goku believes he's genuine. And it's so transparent he's being played, and everyone knows it, except Goku.

Cue everyone and their mother not having the heart to outright tell Goku he's wrong, and stopping Freeza from betraying him behind the scenes (This includes Beerus at some point..)

I think you're thinking of Naruto. XD

I would like Frieza to actually behave on his Universe but making a crazy plan of invading the other universes that he knows to be weaker or something fun like that. He could bring so much potential trouble into the table without going straight against the main heros (because a Nth battle with him would be overkill)

But Dragonball has always been about evil characters becoming good guys. Goku, Yamacha, Krillin (in a way), Tien, Piccolo, Vegeta, the Androids, and Majin Buu to name a few.

So Frieza becoming good would just be adding to the redemption narrative of Dragonball

Yeah, Frieza won't be able to stay evil forever in such company.

🙁

Not much time left till Frieza becomes a Z fighter and gets powered up to Yamcha lvls.

He might even get an earth wife and make lil Friezas....

Well...hopefully not that. Maybe more of an anti-hero type. Because with Goku having Ultra Instinct, there's no way Frieza could compete with him unless Frieza powers up to ungodly levels as well.

Super sexy avi-sig set, as always 👆

Goku is actually easy for Freeza to deal with.

I mean, he already killed Goku and Vegeta, when he couldn't possibly beat them.. If it wasn't for Whis playing dirty and taking sides..

But that was when Frieza could compete with Goku one on one. Frieza was stronger than Goku as Golden Frieza but his endurance couldn't last. Goku in Ultra Instinct completely outclasses Frieza even in his True Golden Frieza form.

Goku lost his golden form when he killed Vegeta, and very nearly Goku.

If Whis wasn't there, he would have.

True, he reverted to his white form and was battered pretty bad.

And was still able to use this technique just fine:

I like how Beerus, otherwise completely disinterested in the fight, commented "Freeza thought this through."

As close to a compliment as he gave anyone, until MUI.

In fairness, he killed Vegeta by blowing up the planet. Not really overpowering him. Which is something that Frieza would love to do. So I don't see Frieza trying to fight Goku or Vegeta unless he can become stronger than Ultra Instinct Goku. Frieza wants to humiliate the Saiyans just as much as he wants to kill them.

That's the point, though, Freeza won't beat Goku. He'll just kill him.

Same way he "beat" Jiren, or almost killed Goku in destruction energy.

He's the only dishonorable opportunist in the series, who happens fo have the muscle to back it up.

And his plans generally would work, if not to an intervention.

But my point is that Frieza doesn't want to just kill Goku. He wants to beat him. Those were measures he took when he had no other option. He could have blown up Namek from the start and killed Goku. Instead, he only attempted to do so after being struck by the Spirit Bomb and after Goku transformed into a Super Saiyan.

Then he only destroyed Earth after Vegeta beat Frieza to the point that he could no longer sustain his Golden Form. Frieza wants to be able to beat Goku and humiliate him. Therefore, Frieza won't try to attack Earth until he has acquired a power that can compete with Ultra Instinct.

But, I would like to see Frieza become somewhat redeemed. He's my favorite character in Dragonball and it would be awesome to see someone capable of keeping up with Goku and Vegeta. Frieza closed the gap between him and Goku in four months and then again with just mental training.

What I think is hilarious is that, according to Kaioshin, there are only 28 planets with mortal life in the whole of U7... Freeza could have all of them(sans earth) under his thumb in a phucking week if he wanted to.

Personally, I'd bet that he'll try to expand his empire into other universes at some point... Preferably those with massive mortal counts, like U1. Not only does that give him more people to rule, but it would keep Goku/Vegeta from interfering in his affairs.

"All hope lies in Freeza."
