Vegeta was able to lift something twice as heavy as Goku and both were straining around the same.

It was said to be twice as heavy? Whis said he made Vegeta's twice as heavy as before. Nothing about what Goku's weighed. There is no way that Vegeta is lifting twice what Goku was.

Also Goku says Vegeta might even be stronger. Which implies that they are close in strength even if Vegeta was superior.

Whis even comments on how Vegeta is slower than Goku. Which also implies a close level of power.

Or am I seeing this wrong?

I always thought they had Vegeta train with Whis alone was him to close the massive gap in power between the two.

I took it as Vegeta had the most weight since he was already use to the training. Goku hasn't made it to the point Vegeta is at training wise.

True, he did say that which gave me an indication that Vegeta could be stronger.

Yea it's even cooler Goku and Vegeta are staying conscious now when before Beerus just touched them and they were on the verge of death.

I'm guessing in this arc Goku/Vegeta will eventually defeat Champa in a drawn-out battle at the Universe 6 God Tournament.

I hope they never get on the level of Beerus and Whis because if so,that would make them irrelevant.

They will most likely surpass them at the very end of the series.

I feel like Whis has some hidden motive to make them Gods of Destruction too

I remember Whis asked Goku at the end of BotG if he wanted to be a new god of destruction, but Goku turned down the offer. Did not see Whis ask that after the fight with Beerus in Super, though.

He told Vegeta he would train him if he became a God of Destruction. I wonder why he is in search of New Gods of Destruction.

Maybe because Beerus sleeps too damn much?

He missed out on Planet Vegeta and Planet Namek (And Earth!) being destroyed. The god is really bad at what he does. 🙂

I like the anime man. I'm still a little lost over Vegeta's new comic relief antics, but meh I will take it if it means him being on par with Goku and getting more spotlight.

Goku is still retard supreme though. Dude making me laugh left and right. I like him more in this series than I ever did.

I like how they had Vegeta and Goku push each other away during their brief 2 on 1 match with Whis. Shows how the 2 of them have a long way to go before fighting as one. Should be a joy to see them fighting as one. Fusions be damned. And come to think of it...who knows if them becoming a real tag team duo that complements each other would make their fusion even more deadly.

Looking forward to the next episode. Hope Frieza's arc is not as long as Bill's. I want new stuff man.
