Also there were only two really good animators for Super. Shida and Takahashi, and they saved most of their scenes for TOP. Both worked on the Broly movie. Z animation was better because they had a lot more good animators and Yamamuro was actually good back then. You can compare his current art of the same scenes to his old movie posters and it's a huge joke.
That's not even the worst one. Janemba one is really bad as are the others.

That was one of my earlier guesses. At the time Galan theorized since he isn't an angel, angel rules may not apply.
But at the time we also had no idea how he was to die, such as Zeno erasure.
At this stage, it does look like the angels have an innate "self destruct switch", which could have been copied along with the powers.
Yeah, just remember that the movies are all non-canon filler, and set in alternate timelines or w/e -- they just loosely fit into various points in the canon timeline.
The only movie that's still technically canon is the History of Trunks Special, which is pretty good. So is the Bardock movie, though it's not canon.
