Also I think it reasonable that Gotenks could eventually reach Mystic level in that timeframe, and I think it reasonable that he could have hurt Mystic Gohan even back then if he cheapshot charged him in the balls. Hell he hurt Super Buu and he did it to his head.

Mystic Gohan level stayed the same. It will always be at the same level. That doesn't mean Gohan can't become stronger, it's just that his form back then will always stay the same. Just like Goku's first SS transformation will always stay the same.

Mystic Gohan was what, 1.5 times stronger than SS3 Gotenks or around there. That puts him at 12 times stronger than SS1 Gotenks. Gotenks has about 2-5 years or whatever it was to increase it to some degree and close the gap. Even if he didn't catch up, the boys' power is going to shoot up in that time to a point where hitting someone in the balls with a full speed ram won't seem so bad. Though it shouldn't anyway.

Plus the repeated statements about him being equal to mystic Gohan as well. It can't get any more clearer really. They would have had to physically make Gohan time travel to that point in time to fight him while he was Super Buu era.

SSB seems to be at least twice. I wouldn't assume more until we know more though.

All Gohan says is he might be as strong as me at my best. Never says his best now or when he was mystic and at his strongest. We also see that Tagoms isn't even as strong as Gohan at his best in the present because ssj takes him on like nothing so Gohan is clearly wrong anyway because ssj would be his best and assuming he was still near mystic level as black hair he would be 50x stronger than Super Buu and in like Super Vegetto levels. Which is far from right.

It's right though and Gohan was talking about his power level during the Buu saga, not his recent state. By the way, it's a cartoon. Stop nitpicking every showing you see. Things are going to happen like getting hit in the balls. Don't understand why people are dissecting this show like this. Picking every small frame as a degrade.

Are you saying a non-training Gohan became as strong as Super Vegetto?

He said it in the preview as well. And at his best would be a clear case of talking about his best we saw.

And it's pretty clear SS drains the absolute piss out of Gohan and is extremely hard on him. Hence why it's a last resort. It was also stated that mystic would have the same drain as his regular form.
That being said, we don't know the effects of SS combined with his mystic. Especially considering to turn mystic in the first place he just has to power up to SS as said by Elder Kai. Not to mention he didn't even knock Tagoma out, so I think it's safe to say he wasn't 50 times more powerful than Super Buu. If SS works the same, then it seems fair to conclude that Gohan dropped to such a degree that going 50 times only puts him about twice as strong. Or, it only powered him up to max potential which rose over the time and SS is only a makeshift placeholder for the power he should have been had he been training. Since that was the whole purpose of Mystic anyway, to put him at his max potential.

Either way it's speculation. What we do have though as proof, is Gohan saying in 2 different episodes that Tagoma was as powerful as Gohan at his max. I mean, you literally have to ignore the statement to the current power level to go against that. You can argue logistics all you want but a power level was established.

Also, in the Manga Buu gets kicked out of the tourney for failing the written test. Which is shitty. Possible Gohan replaces him maybe...

The fat bear Goku is facing has a special hidden ability yet to be revealed. But considering Goku is in base form and was toying with him (because he was full), It's doubtful Goku loses. Though that'd be a hell of a twist.

If Goku loses it'll be a twist because he is the second strongest one there.

And if Gohan replaces Buu he would have to be in Whis' staff. Because how is he gonna get there otherwise

Remember how Kid Buu was kinda overloading his regen when they were fighting.

It's been a while since watched that fight, so I don't really remember that part.

Is it just me or does SSG still seem stronger than SSB?

Depends on if you think Freeza is stronger then SSG.

I think it was that whole instant regen thing goku had. And he was going toe to toe with 100% Beerus.

I mean statements by Goku seem to say SSB is the strongest

When did Goku lose his God power when fighting Beerus? You all are not making sense. He had to either lost that power or became more powerful. There's no way around this..

no im jsut saying he looked more powerful. not that he was

I'm waiting for super saiyan 3 blue... Because he gets ssb just by going super saiyan after getting a taste of godhood... So why didn't he go ssj2 or 3 against freeza?

^ During a BoG interview a while back, Toriyama stated that we wouldn't be seeing SSJ2-SSJ3 again. Whether or not he sticks to that remains to be seen. /shrug

😆 That is ****ing bad.

Also, is Faulkner making the soundtrack?

^ Faulconer is no longer involved with DB. Real shame, too... His scores made EVERY battle SO much better.

In all fairness, that's from the Janemba movie, which had some of the best animation and effects in DB.

That Super episode was outsourced to some Filipino studio. Which if you've been to any fast food place over the last few years you'd notice they don't do good work. But I mean, they'll do it for cheap so what do you do about it?
