Most powerful Sith? Spring 2015 ed.

Started by The Merchant55 pages

Who do you think is the strongest Sith anyways? Ps?

Most likely DE Sidious but I would put Vitiate up there.

It definitely in no way infers "most powerful ever".

What does it infer?

B/W That is an era-specific source.
And the SWTORE isn't?

It infers you're deliberately here breaking the rules in spite of your ban and constant fanwanking 👆

I thought Carth and Temp were buddies.

He's the most powerful alive

No it doesn't. Lol?

"Most powerful Sith of all" means "Most powerful of all the Sith". They're the same thing. That is a past and present statement. It makes 0 sense for it to only apply to the time period anyway, since it's literally just Vader and Palpatine that are Sith.

He's the most powerful of all time, deal with it.

It is, yes. But when it makes a quote encompassing all of history, it includes every era before it. Not in future, so the episode 7 villain might still be top dog, but definitely all in the past.

For example, Vitiate's most powerful quote is categoric evidence he's better than Kun, but does not put him above Plagueis, Caedus or Sidious.

No it doesn't lol, it means alive. It's cute that you have to reach and ***** at the same. It does not mean what you think it means, deal with it 😂

You're intense hatred of Palpatine is cute.

How many times does he have to be called the most powerful in history, and how many pathetic excuses do you have to make before you decide to actually concede? Genuine question, because I'm losing count.

I was skimming at first, so I originally read that as "Palpatine is cute" and I was like "WTF?!" for a half second before actually reading it lol.

You're intense hatred of Palpatine is cute.

Using my own words is cute, especially after this:

You have constant reading problems.

How many times are you going to have definitive sources? Zero? And there's no pathetic excuses as much as their shoddy rationalizations from the Sidious fanboys. Even Gideon wouldn't use those sources, instead relying on feats and what not. But yea, good try 👆

They're going through a rough patch, right now, tbh.

No, SWTOR Encyclopedia covers galactic history. Even the game covers galactic history and recognizes the existence of Celestials.

This is the original source: http://www.amazon.com/Star-Wars-Omnibus-With-Empire/dp/1595826998

It is being reprinted under Legends banner in 2015.

Issue remains that we don't have a definitive sourcebook covering entire galactic history in great detail in which Palpatine is promoted as the most powerful Sith ever since introduction of Vitiate, and Vitiate's story continues to expand.

Believe me, I don't care which Sith is most powerful, but I have my observations. And Vitiate outguns Darths Sidious, Plagueis, and Caedus in demonstrations of power and Force ability. Only the Dark Empire incarnation of Sidious compares to Vitiate.

Also, what if Vitiate is no longer recognized as Sith? He is an enemy of both Jedi and Sith factions. The Sith label is meaningless, we focus on demonstrations of power and actions, and formulate judgment on that.

The SWTOR:E only extends until the Galactic War in the game.

But doesn't changes the fact that it covers super-strong characters of earlier times including Celestials, Soa, The World Razer, Terror from Beyond, Darth Nihilus, and more.

And then we have Vitiate's own remarkable demonstrations to consider.

So you accept that the Sith Emperor's accolades don't apply to Palpatine? Well it's a start.

As for the statement in question, "the most powerful Sith Lord of all" is a vague statement that just as easily be of all time, as of all current Sith Lords. If someone would like to point out why the former is semantically impossible, go ahead.

The former, however, is just more likely. Other than Palpatine Vader was the only other Sith Lord in existence at the time, and it's common knowledge that his abilities were crippled as a result of his duel with Kenobi. Being more powerful than Vader is not an accolade for Sidious, is a given, and doesn't need to be stated.

That said its only a reprint, not a new source. Not that we need one. 💃

No one believes you.

You've yet to back this up with proof or logical reasoning, being the enemy of other Sith factions does not make you a non-Sith, Sith is a belief.

That seems a less likely interpretation than the alternative tbh.
