Why do you troll when you get caught being bias?

I disagree with both assertions of this post.

Trolling

Yes, me denying that I troll you and me denying that I am biased on this topic is actually designed to troll you, got me figured out.

your skills are now complete

"It's not just a matter of it not being polite to say ****** in public. That's not the measure of whether racism still exists or not."

Using a term in a discussion about the appropriateness of a term is in no way objectionable.

Directing a term at another person or a group of people is objectionable.

Anyone who cannot see the difference is being deliberately obtuse.

😆

Look at all those fancy words to obfuscate the truth. Yet you failed.

There will be people that will be offended by the usage of the word by a white person, regardless of the circumstances. It is not really a big deal to just say "the n word" instead, and insisting you do have the right to say it and therefore will, while true, is distasteful.

I understand, but then I wonder how far it goes. If a non black person is singing along to a song that has the N word, do they have to censor themselves from saying it?

The man who want's to eliminate racism says a racial slur, and then his bandwagoneers on the internet cover for him fck ups.

Try's to eliminate racism by saying racial slurs.

Priceless.

"i don't understand what you said. **** you."

It's pretty easy to just exchange a word like "brother" in such a case, like songs played on public radio do sometimes. You have to know for yourself how you feel about censoring yourself. You should likely also be taking the circumstances into account, perhaps don't sing it loudly at a black church, but if you are in the shower alone, probably no harm done.

Glad we agree he shouldn't have said it. The President of the free world should not be saying it.

TURN DOWN FOR WHAT

Singing along to any song usually makes one look like a ponce, so it's generally a good idea not to do it.

Serious question, can you actually not see the difference between how Obama used the word and the reasoning behind it over say Dylan Roof's use of the word?

Which words are "fancy?"

"Objectionable," "obtuse," "deliberately?"

Smh...

Obama saying the n-word is completely different from Bill Clinton or Ronald Reagan saying the n-word. We can't just disregard the completely different circumstances. Obama is a black man, who has experienced racism first hand, who has been called the n-word to degrade him and deny his humanity. To pretend it is the same thing as any white president using the word, and to pretend he said it devoid of the context he said it in is disingenuous.

There are people within the black community that don't think black people should use the n-word, and that's a perfectly fine discussion to have.

But what definitely shouldn't happen is white people policing Obama's language regarding racist terminology that was used to put down black people and raise white people, a word that is deeply linked to the systemic racism that for centuries and into the present shapes this society.

You know how much I detest Political Correctness that regulates innocuous speech. But...

I agree with everything you've said, here. That circumstance is different.

TI is correct, however: it is not presidential for him to use that word. Just the same as it would be for him to drop F-bombs...except probably n*gger is more offensive even in context.

However, if Obama was a private citizen, my position would be the exact opposite (meaning, I think he should be able say those things in any context including with a racist intent).

His use of n****r was specific and for a point on racism he was making, acting like he casually said it as if he were "dropping F-bombs" is being purposely silly. Stop being silly.

I agree, but I still think it's understandable to be unimpressed with the PotUS using language like that.

No comparison really. He could have said the "N word" which is politically correct as so many people here try and be all the time. Now bigger question why is Obama in someone's garage on a pod cast called"WTF" radio.

This ain't the first time he has disrespected the office he holds but it's the worst. Now I don't really like bush or Clinton however I could see people losing there shit if they said that. Well not Clinton so much as he was actually the first black president and all.
