I'm curious, Backfire. Were you there during that time period? Do you have a first hand account of slaves being treated so bad or do you just accept whatever the side that won the war tells you are facts? Wait... Don't answer. I already know. 😉
Don't worry. I won't answer. The question is too idiotic to even entertain.

Oh yeah, the slaves had it absolutely made, but the niggas just had to get all uppity and wreck a good thing... just like what they're doing now!
I wonder what Star thinks the reason hundreds of thousands of black Southerners left their home states in order to fight for the North is...

And there's bad, almost certainly related news:
Btw, to quote Time-Immemorial from the closed thread on the same topic:
"Funny Clinton signed a law as governor honoring the confederate Flag, when he ran for Presidenf he had a Clinton/Gore Pin with the flag on it, he also belongs to a white only golf club to this day.
At a funeral for Senator Robert Bird a staunch KKK member lead the philabuster against the American Civil Liberty Act.
Bill Clinton was making excuses for a this guy at his funeral.
Talk about bullshit. Liberals would have no standards if they didn't have a double standard.
Not to mention the people that started the confederacy where liberal Democrates and"
Does anyone really expect us to buy this? 'Some democrats used to do something bad before changing their mind, often decades before and with a record of years and years demonstrating the change of heart, this totally makes the Democrats just as bad and excuses us defending people who actively hold that stance right now, because accepting that people changed their mind is a double standard! And besides, the original bad thing being actively defended really was *their* fault after all! Really!'.
On the last bit, the South was Democrats, but they were the opposite of what's now called liberal, and they specifically formed a voting block long known as the 'Dixiecrats'. A voting block currently a part of... the Republicans, after the Democrat's embrace of civil rights during the 60s caused the Dixiecrats to jump ship en mass.
Ironically, the two parties flipped both policy and even most of their constituents between the CW and now.

Ugh. This is very sad. It's a bit much. Some things genuinely piss me off.
Is there a charity fund for this? I looked and couldn't find anything.

Not a whole lot of news covering this.

According to FOX, these were accidents/disasters (such as lightning strikes), not racist arsonists, which is why they haven't been covered. Someone will have to confirm this for me though, since I wouldn't trust FOX News to plug in my toaster, less lone give me accurate news.
