lol, you are funny.
No mental illnesses or defects. I played baseball. What about you? So you are not a fan of OWAW or DOS DD.

You think that almost 20yrs of depictions involving the issue of mental blocks is indicative of "Inconsistency"?

Ridiculous.

Of course it does because some HAVEN'T written him that way. What is so complicated to understand about this. If other writers write him NOT having that... they are JUST as valid and canon to superman as somebody who does. YOU just like the Superman with mental blocks because you think he's more powerful. You're not an authority on the canon of superman, DC is, and they haven't even made such a ruling. If EVERY writer wrote him that way, then you'd have a point. Sure, some writers do consistently write him that way... cool. However, that doesn't overrule, nor is it more canon than those that haven't. It's that simple. You have no say so on what is canon to Superman, and writers who haven't written that way, certainly have exponentially more say so than you. Sorry bud.

Since the reboot John Byrne ceated Superman with his powers based on psionics meaning that his power will fluctuate depending on his mental state.

He explained this on an interview and it was with the sole purpose of giving the future writers a free hand onto Superman's depiction of power

Anyone who has read Superman comics should know this

And even as late as pre flash point comics this power fluctuation was referenced in comics by SEVERAL writters

Jerry Ordway, John Byrne, Loeb, Jurgens, Kessel, Kelly just to name a few writers who used that same model and I am sure that if I dig I will find that at least 75% of the main writers of Superman have used this in at least one instance.

So he's right there with Gladiator, got it.

ignoring on panel evidence eh?

No one is claiming Superman is a skyfather level being. We are claiming that he is when he COMPLETELY LET'S LOOSE. How many times has he done this? Not very many. It's called a stipulation and not to be wrongly misconstrued as a general statement.

What a nonsensical comment. Either he is skyfather level or he isn't. What's your answer?

Just like 3 levels above Glads

Where there a point somewhere in all of that? I never, not once, said Byrne or other haven't written him that way. I already agreed he and others have. What I clearly said, and with no ambiguity, is that others haven't written him that way, and they are JUST AS CANON. That is the issue at hand. If you want superman with no metal blocks to appear in a thread.. we'll say OWAW or other books where that is the case. Cool, no issue there. However, we can't, nor should we, consider that a default setting for superman in these forums. Others have written him NOT having mental blocks that fluctuate his power. They are just as valid, and that is my point. They are just as canon, Period.

Gladiator rips stars apart, Superman shits his pants over a black hole and holds his breath in space.

How can you fail so badly?

Gladiator's powers doesn't work in a comprable manner.

Kallark doesn't approach Superman even at full confidence.

Superman holds solar system buster black holes on his hand that mass is >>>>>>>>anything glads has done. Whats your point ?

So 25% of writers over 75% of writters? That is not standard.

The rule is based on the 75% not on the exception

Superman was saved from a black hole by Metron and Lightray had to tell him not to lose hope. That's cannon, son. You and the Superfriends commit the sin of omission daily. Ever thought about not cheerleading this loser?

That black hole didn't start off at solar system busting mass. It was the size of a marble and was barely warping the room (which Batman was in) when Superman contained it. Superman deliberately stopped it from growing that large.

Against a fully formed black hole, Superman was helpless and nearly killed.

Reminds me of the time Superman was about to be "crushed and obliterated" by a black hole, but gets saved by the Mobius Chair.

😆 Desperate times. Drop the charade, no one outside of your fringe group buys your garbage.
