If it wasn't Silver, and I know it wasn't Gideon then who did you have the original Palpatine vs Ancient Sith debate with? I remember Advent being there, but I don't think Advent was the one you one-posted.
You're probably thinking about Lightsnake, who was, basically, the founding father of the Sheevites a.k.a. Gideon's "mentor".
I don't recall doing much "pro-Kun" debates back in the day, though. As I said. That was IKC's favourite occupation. But back then, there were more worthy opponents on different sides of certain fences. Debating Janus / Illustrious / IKC on certain topics was certainly more fun than essentially doing the same debate (Sidious vs X) against Lightsnake in every other thread.
Bringing up what happened in JA is more for Kun than against him considering as a spirit he was power less compared to his living self yet empowered Kyp with his energies plus knowledge and completely womped JA Luke who's stronger than DE Luke who beat Palps. Palpatine was forced to use his Force storm to really get any where. And no Luke wasn't amped when he owned Palps in a lightsaber duel

The Magnificent Lightsnake, Hallowed be his Name. The First Sheevite.

And Force spirits have unusual Force power, anyways. They're never anywhere near as weak as they were while living.

A better combatant? Within the realm of lightsaber combat, very possibly, if not likely. More powerful in the Force? Not according to the latest in Canon, I'm afraid, who are unanimous in Palpatine's praise:And on that note, and in response for your call for arguments, what proof is there that Kun could outmatch the most powerful Jedi ever, when he was floored by an aging Jedi librarian?
Not only that but Luke said the 2 strongest nexuses of DS energy was Palpatine and Kun. Only difference is he sensed spirit Kun while he sensed DE Palps. Not to mention he also said if Ragnos was ressurected "all jedi in the galaxy will die" and he only heard stories and his own personal experience against Kun to base that on.
