Yeah you can. Just like how you can find Goku in comics, manga, and everywhere. That is why iconic characters are iconic. You do know that Goku's origin was change from being sent to Earth to conquer it, to being sent to Earth because his dad and mom feared for his life and the planet was in danger.

What about his krypt... Ehm vegetan name, zod.. Ehm vegeta and his brute and girl, the SUPERsayin part? Ok kal... Kakarott has developed flight, superstrength and a low level of invulnerability but granted, these days everyone got this. AT created a Superman mockery before DBZ, later he wanted his own Superman.

And i don't mind the influence tbh, it made DB more awesome. Goku is unique enough.

Are we assuming that DC has a trademark on aliens having different names from humans? The parallels between Zod's gang and the Saiyans are a stretch. And yeah super powers are nothing special. Goku's longer hair making him stronger is way more immediately like Samson than Superman is like Samson.

Sure it is fine. Nice enough way for Toriyama to bring in Sci-Fi to the series. But the implication that Supes is the source for Goku is misleading, just like how Jesus is not the source for either. There is nothing new under the sun and all that jazz.

But the influence is clear, the origin of the influence as AT already created a char based on Superman, though in a comedy fashion, so he was aware of Superman and even had to read some comics or saw some movies. There is no doubt that he had Superman in mind when he created DBZ and Kakarotts origins.

i feel like this debate is pretty simple just lay out the feats next to each other and supes wins.... all that other stuff about what ppl could do is speculation and not concrete. they also bring more questions to the table....lets focus on what weve seen characters do instead of what yall think they can do
