That is by the far the stupidest shit i've ever read, and i've been here for a few yrs and i've read some stupid shits on here.
Comparing the quality of writing/art between the two is stupid. One is a character that is 80 years old or thereabouts who has had dozens, if not more than a hundred, different artists and writers working to make his story. Goku comes from a single self-contained story churned out by one to two guys and one studio.

100% agreed. You can't compare most anime/manga to western comics and even if you could, just because Superman's the more storied and detailed character doesn't make it superior in an entertainment sense. It's all subjective.
I personally prefer Goku and DB overall over Superman and his comics, 1000 fold. Reading Superman has always been a wildly effective sedative for me, even as a child. The comics are an absolute sleep inducer, imo.

Superman's name has gone beyond the comics mythos into helping real people. Goku's name though famous, has never went beyond his manga mythos.

Tell me that after watching Gintama, Kill la kill, Angel Beats, Naruto, etc. Hell, DBZ is referenced in probably at least as many series as Superman is, especially nowadays.
That doesn't even matter though. What matters is the fact that Superman lacks the feats necessary to fight Goku, as of Dragon Ball Super.
This thread has literally devolved into just a bunch of idiots squabbling over feats that Superman has similar to the new DBS feat, which the lot of you are taking out of context. Alexander Luthor Jr.'s multiverse tower is what was warping reality, not the Supermen fighting each other.
And at those of you claiming that Superman is somehow the origin of DC existence, you're... Kind of right. I mean, he was the first super hero, but that doesn't mean anything. Captain Atom, pre crisis, was literally able to destroy the universe, and re-create it exactly as it was, even being able to recreate Superman with nothing more than a gesture. There would be no contest between him and Superman, yet you're claiming Superman is somehow superior to him?
That's the problem with you Super-tards. You all like to think that Superman is the all mighty god of the series, when he's just not. Statements made in hyperbole about someone being invincible are just plain silly, especially when the "invincible" character in question has been defeated by a regular human dressed in a bat suit. MULTIPLE TIMES.
99% of DC comics is just plot convenience, and the other 1% is shitty writing. Going by the actual feats that Superman has performed, he would get vaporized by a stray ki blast from a fight between Beerus and Goku. That's all there is to it.

No. Everyone and their mother knows who Superman is, heard the name, saw the logo and the costume, at least here in Europe and the parts of asia where i have been. Japan might be the only place where both are equally known.
DBS is not on tv here, most manga/anime fans prefer other series.

Anyone you ask, even if you don't have a tv knows who Superman is, you show them his symbol they'll say, oh that's Superman's symbol.
Superman is so well known, that his comics have been use by a few people to help them out of depression and suicide.
