Is Superman far and away more powerful than Thor and Surfer?

Well, we can check how many high showings he has in just last two years.

Benched the earth for five days straight.

Threw Brainiac's ship away with J'onn.

Threw Warworld in phantom zone.

Tanked black holes bigger than earth and while weakened flew from the end of the universe to Earth.

Ripped Doomsday apart.

Brought H'el to his knees in two hits.

Beat the shit out of Wraith.

Shattered Phantom Stranger's body.

These are the feats which Heralds do once in a few years.

Some of these though impressive for a herald, ain't all that impressive. Meaning to say it's not really hitting beyond the high herald weight class.
Like the Warworld one since he more than likely pushed it instead of "threw" it to a direction it was already going to.

Tanked black holes is good, but the whole "flying from the end of the universe to earth" thing is debatable.

Hitting H'el down is sorta ok, but doesn't scream "omg beyond herald level!"

Same goes for beating Wraith. Doesn't scream as hitting beynd your weight class.

And also these are from last 3 years.

Damn 170 appearances? That's more than I thought. Someone like Surfer for example only has like 30 canon appearances in the past 2 years, and that's including books where he appears a few panels or just talks. I'm not shocked that Superman would have more total high showings than him.

If we take abhi's 8 very high end feats at face value and calculate the ratio of high showings vs. comic appearances it would be 4.7 high showings per every 100 comics appearances.

Surfer in the past two years has done stuff like:
- Power the Impericon previously powered by an Eternity level being's heart
- Moon Surfing into Galactus
- Making a transwarp tunnel for 3 billion ships to jump to another part of the universe
- Outracing multiversal destruction
- Resisting Galactus depowering him
- Purifying a planets air and all 6 billion inhabitants body systems
- Absorb and dissipate a massive cosmic storm about to destroy a planet

If we were to calculate an estimate that's a rate of 26.6 per 100 comics, hell even if we cut it in half it'd be 13 per 100 comics or even a quarter it'd be 6.5 per 100 comics.

This is why I used the analogy for homicide rate in Canada vs. Belize.

Very impressive in regards to scope of power. Surfer really excels in these types of feats. But are there any showings against very powerful opponents in which he looked good other than the ones with Galactus?

Haha, what? He was poisoned with kryptonite just a page before.

No, it is not.

Of course it does. H'el was stronger than Superman himself.

Same goes for beating Wraith. Doesn't scream as hitting beynd your weight class.

Again lolz. Wraith was multiple times stronger than Superman. Remember how Kurse treated Thor?

And also these are from last 3 years.

How predictable. Nothing is impressive.

He was superdoomed. Like I said it was ok. And yeah it is.

So? If I had a nickel everytime a trans(?) level character was knocked down by a herald, I'd be rich.

Wraith was multiple times stronger? Where was this? Also he had a sort of kryptonite ring in his person... That he shoved down Wraith's throat.

Look and break down each of Surfer's showings. The only thing lacking are combat feats. Well he has the ones with Galactus so I guess he has them.

Agreed on your first comment. I honestly didn't find it impressive at all tbh.

Agreed on the showing about the black hole and the flying thing. Especially since we see Brainiac dumping him in a certain location.

WTF...hitting H'el down is alright but let's not pretend like top tiers doesn't do things like this regularly. Thor hits was affecting Gor, Hulk has ripped an android apart that was 4 times the power of a High Herald with an all out punch (then he punched the reality warping power clean out of Onslaught, turning him to dust). It's not beyond H'el to get hurt by a High Herald.

Wraith showing has context. He brought out Wraith weakness (the ring) and then threw it down his throat and remember, before any of that happened, Wraith fell to the ground in pain because Earth magnetic core was effecting him. He was far away from being 100% in that fight. In a straight up fight, it did not favor Superman at all.

The doomsday virus was burned out by the black hole.

It was bigger than the ****ing earth.

Brought on his knees in two hits? Remind me the last time Thor or Surfer did so to someone who was more powerful than they are?

He was absorbing power at faster rate than Superman for 75 years.

After beating the shit out of him and totally having him on his mercy.

Superman was himself kryptonite poisoned and had several ribs broken.
His feats aren't at level to benching earth for five days straight or throwing a ship larger than earth.

He maxed out at moving a moon.

And he had no effect on Galactus. Superman's showing against Phantom Stranger shits on that.

😂

It's not worth replying to this kind of shit.

But yeah, you are right. Thor goes in black holes bigger than Earth, benches earth weight five days straight, surpasses that level of power, rips apart heralds like paper, beats down Trans level beings, shatters the body of a skyfather and fights with an abstract level being for an entire issue on every plane of existence.

In 3 years.

😂

Do you see me questioning virtual earth weight benching or Brainiac ship? Or him taking punishment from Vyndztvx...?

Your problem is you constantly reach... Some of those feats are not wowing anybody.

When Thor goes inside a black hole and lives, come back to me.

Oh right, he had never gone inside one.

Still waiting on how Wraith is multiple times stronger than Clark...

He brought it up before. He compared the amount of sunlight Wraight absorbed to the amount of Sunlight Superman absorbed.

Simple observation.

Huh? The series was pretty explicit in showing that Wraith was above Superman power wise.

Multiple times stronger?

I keep hearing this "benches earth for 5 days" thing

What was the story behind that? anything that can be bench pressed that easily isn't worth bothering with... try benching a feather, even at that weight you'd get tired well before 5 days passed.

A machine was replicating the weight of the Earth. This isn't so relevant but he was also not exposed to sunlight for these 5 days.

The best part was that he was taking it easy and only sweat one drop of sweat.

If he had exerted more, the planet would've been sucked in by a black hole or something.

It's a ridiculous feat by any stretch.

PR..

Who's questioning that?

In the past, Iirc he brought out some figure like Wraith was 4x stronger? Or something to that effect...

Oh, I don't know about that, then.
