DCnU Superman Vs Thor

So people are just ignoring the whole "calm down" thing, then?

Good to know.

So nothing, eh?

And which speedster he fought who was even close to Superman? Heck even Mongoose was blitzing him who was outright shown to be slower than Spidey.

😬

Gladiator and Hyperion, genius. Tell Superman watch out for Herc's elbow.

Like you could read Parasite's words?

Regardless, what does this have to do with Thor? WW is faster than Thor.

Does Thor have any speed feats? We have seen plenty of DCnU Superman speed feats, carver and BAV - do you have any feats from Thor to suggest he can keep up?

Thor isn't as fast as Superman, but you have been provided speed feats. Now of course you are talking nonsense about jabs vs. uppercuts.

Just so carver's collection is complete:

I guess Flash WANTED Superman to hit him.

Because, the alternative is that Superman caught him by surprise.

Caught.

The FLASH.

By surprise.

So what was Superman's excuse for not being able to hit Flash for all those panels?

Why was that scan edited?

Angela? One could say she's around Wolverine level in speed, I haven't seen her full fight with Gamora though, so I'm not sure.

She's much faster than that.

You mean the part where Thor was wearing tech that made him immune from the time dilation while Gladiator had no benefit and had to compensate with pure speed?

Convincing argument there. 😆

You mean when a FUTURE Gladiator divebombed and completely unsuspecting Thor who knew he was under the time speed bubble? What is wrong with you? That isn't a bad reflection of Thor's speed or anyone else's in that position!

Thor wouldn't even know how to tag a speedster like Barry.

He teleports to it's vicinity and actually lands at or around it's path of trajectory. The ship passes him by moving several times the speed of light. He has no problem perceiving it as it wizzes by him and even reacts fast enough so as to not lose it completely, which ultimately allows him to catch up to it. Can a normal human do what he just did? If his perception and reaction times are such that he can never react to something moving at this insane level of speed, how did he ever see it go by him and move fast enough to track and catch up to it?

A human can do what Thor did easily. Space is huge. Light doesn't travel very fast in large space. For example, it takes light more than a second to travel from the Earth to the moon and itit takes 8 min to travel from the Sun to the Earth.

Traveling at several times the speed of light can be perceived if the distance is large enough. Thor wasn't that close to the ship. He was probably tens of thousands of miles away when it past him. Thor gaining speed on the ship simply means that he lowered his relative velocity to the ship, effectively making the ship seeming still. For example, two cars side by side moving 80mph would seem to not be moving at all. Another example, a car whiz by you at 100mph then you speed up to 120 mph to catch up. You effectively reduced the relative velocity to 20mph. Therefore, you only have to have 20mph reflexes, not 120mph ones.

In conclusion, it's all about reaction time. Perceiving fast speeds in large space is irrelevant. A human can do that. But can Thor perceive and move fast enough to react to light speed launched at 5ft away? 5ft is vastly different than 50,000 miles.

So you don't have an answer to the question?

😂 😂 😂

So could a human see something moving at light speed away from them when at a stand still like Thor just did?

I hope you aren't talking to me because I haven't edited anything.

Are you purposely making this bad of an argument in hopes my brain will overload from the absurdity, or do you actually think this is a good counter?

Just comparing speed. 😛

Thor has reacted to EP blasts and block them with Mjolnir. That's reacting at light speed. Guess you didn't know that.
Thor has reacted to light speed attacks from 30ft away or so. Thus he is very fast. But

1. 5ft away is a different story.
2. Thor only managed to move a tiny fraction of the distance the light speed attacks moved in order to block or dodge it. This is still impressive as it shows tremendous speed, but it's still much slower than if the attack started much closer (like 5ft away).

In reality, Thor could barely move to block a hv shot from Superman from 30ft away or more but he can't attack or make an offensive action in remotely the same time frame. So, that means that Superman could prevent Thor from making an offensive action simply by putting Thor on the defensive. Or Superman could just close the distance before Thor makes an offensive action an commence to launching attacks from 5ft away.

Superman also has the freeze breath option.

That's nice, why doesn't he fight like that then? And why does he get tagged by slower characters like Mongul regularly? He is stupid?

But from the beginning, everyone in the thread agrees Superman is faster I guess you had to get that last wank off.

No, I get the real thing. It's real gushy.

How gushy? 😄
