But unfortunately for Rune Surfer came in and beat him.
Notice after Rune gets his IG hand blown up by Surfer, he says "My power--gone!"

Since you're claiming Rune was depowered, how about you give me a direct quote where it says Rune was depowered or cut-off from the IG (hint: there is none).
You've ignored the 5 on-panel statements that suggest Rune was empowered by the IG, including the one where Rune himself says he's empowered.
You can't account for the fact that Rune said he lost his power after Surfer blew up his IG hand and scattered the gems. (E.g., "my power--gone!"😉.
If he wasn't powered by the IG why would Rune say his power was gone after Surfer destroyed his IG hand?
