I also noted that Kurse DID take full-on-raging-you-killed-my-mother-prepare-to-die Thor charged hammer throw from behind with little damage.
Granted it looks like the hammer deflected off his hide, one simply has to look what at what a grazing A-10 round did to Superman (caused him some pain at least). And try to extrapolate how many orders of magnitude a deflected full-on-raging-you-killed-my-mother-prepare-to-die Thor charged hammer throw is vs a grazing hit from an A-10 round and try to do durability comparisons then.

Of course, I could just be trying to mess with you guys....

lol. Nah you're not messing with anybody, you're just stating the more logical option based on feats i.e. Kurse is questionably more durable, and it's not all that close really.
Though I do like when you mess with people 😄

Well, it is somewhat up to interpretation, due to how things were represented onscreen. The sheer fact that this topic has been rehashed in at least half a dozen threads and people still don't fully agree is enough proof of that. Like I said, at this point it is probably best to just agree to disagree if opinions vary. As I pointed out, this is not the first time we have discussed, and had disagreements, on this topic.
My problem is that it shouldn't be up to interpretation. This is a movie. Ambiguity shouldn't be the direction of film-makers when they're trying to showcase what their characters are capable of. I mean they have entire FX budgets to make sure that is portrayed for the mass market audience to absorb.
The fact that it HAS become open to interpretation should be very telling.

Well, then the fault lies with the filmmakers. Because this isn't even an argument specific to this forum. I have seen the MoS speed debate on multiple forums similar to this one, so it seems Snyder and his crew didn't do as good a job of portraying things as we would have hoped. And now they went and created that Superman character bio, which just further confuses things. Either way, I am personally hoping that Batman Vs Superman will provide some more concrete evidence to tip the argument to one of the sides, because this pops up in the vast majority of MoS debates, and very often ends up somewhat derailing things. You end up with 10 different "versus" matches, and all of them ending the same way; people getting progressively more angry with each other while arguing about how fast Kryptonians are. It's why I hardly post in most MoS threads. I already know where the discussion is likely heading.

I will agree with you here. Wait and see is the best direction for all involved here. In all honesty, it is just the blind insistence without solid evidence that kinda drags me into these debates. Kind of a pet peeve of mine.
I am looking forward to BvS myself. One of the movies I am salivating over along with Suicide Squad.
Strangely, not many Marvel movies I'm looking forward to this year. Maybe Civil War, but not all that much.

He is also the guy who can dish out more damage than all the kryptonians put together in a single strike. And tank explosions that were bigger than every single thing that happened in MOS put together. And thats a fact that anybody who has seen the movies and is honest with themselves can see. So who is the fanboy?
I gave you OFFICIAL info about DCEU Superman powers: strenght + speed + reaction speed, at this point you look like a tool trying to discredit official information from WB.
Superman is strong enough to lift THOUSAND OF TONS without being tired and his speed and combat reflexes are beyond of anyone on MCU verse.
seriously kid, just get over it, Superman (or any Kryptonian) would stomp MCU Thor like a flea

Is official canonical info from WB pal, this is like trying to discredit official stats or info from Lucasfilm story group canon.
Also, the shockwaves are not there for the Cool Factor, the bio pretty much confirms that Kryptonians are so fast that they leave shockwaves behind of them on superspeed mode

Shockwaves are caused by speed? I'm pretty sure shockwaves are caused by, well, shock. Impact.
Anyway, if you want to use BIOs you'll have to get a ruling from a mod. As far as I know screen feats trump bios in the mvf.

Xmen Apoc and Gambit, too I think,
As with CW and Dr Strange, I am cautiously optimistic. But am prepared for the worst. Suicide Squad and BvS look kickass, tho so I'm looking forward to them above all else.
Originally posted by FrothByteIirc the shockwaves took place before the punches actually impacted. Will have to check though.

I wish the ppl would get the "sonic boom" thing out of their heads.
Here is Superman ACTUALLY breaking the sound barrier during his flight. He actually did it 3 times during this scene. Notice the difference of the "sonic boom" and how they explicitly use FX to represent it and try and differentiate it from the shockwave he generated on his initial flight launch.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VlINHSnUx9k
Shockwave:
(2:01)
Sonic booms:
(2:05)
(2:28)
(2:31)
(3:02)
There is a clear distinction between the strange gravity shockwave he generates upon flight (as well as the impact shockwaves he generates with punching) vs the actual sonic booms he generates upon flight acceleration.
