I thought the movie was great, Gal really came into her own and killed it; so did Pine. The Ares "twist" I saw coming a mile away but he was the right type of menacing; they should have blacked out his face under the helmet though; seeing that foppish old man face under Ares' armour was a bit cringe worthy lol
Gal was great. 👆
Loved it.
She definitely embodied the spirit of the character namely
Spoiler:, her portrayal is probably the truest to spirit of a DC character portrayed in the DCEU. Her relationship and naivete was funny in the film, and her relationship with Steve was believable and well done. Ares should've been given a bit more screen time than the
caring about the innocents that died in the war, and wanting to end the suffering/pain of the soldiers and her bravery in combat
Spoiler:. Visually the movie is much more beautiful than any previous DCEU entry, and the humor works and isn't shoved up your ass like the garbage in Guardians of the Galaxy. Overall, a very good film and probably the best DCEU film if I'm being objective.
fall from grace montage
8/10
WOW where to start...
I thoroughly enjoyed and liked this. Despite Gal's lack of acting ability, she brought Diana to life. The action scenes were awesome and astounding. They made great usage of the $150 million dollar budget. The cgi was good. Even the humor, I liked.
This is visually stunning.
A few drawbacks though..
Spoiler:Also Danny Huston was wasted as well.
Thewliss as Ares was sort a waste, he needed more screen time, however had I not already known he was Ares, it was really easy to figure out.
9/10, DCEU best..
One final note: Keep Hack Snyder away from the rest of the DCEU and they should possibly thrive.

He's actually credited as one of the story writer's for this.
Let's stop giving the guy such a hard time. He has done good films outside of the DCEU. The WB execs just gave him too many DCEU films, and more control than he probably should have had IMO.

So Joss Whedon had Cobie Smulders in mind for his Wonder Woman.I would have been down with that choice.
TBH, I wouldn't have, but that's me.
