The ultimate edition is way better.
Havent seen the Ultimate Edition, but does the Ultimate Edition fix these things...
- Lex being a flamboyant Twink
- Lazily shoehorned justice league stuff like the trailers and logos on an email
- cave troll doomsday
- meaningless death of Superman, then couple minutes later J/k lol
- Lois being in places she shouldn't
- Lois being a better detective than Batman
- MARTHA. Why did you say that name?! Now we are besties <3
- laughable fight choreography in dream sequence
- Flash screaming gibberish at sleeping Batman that was badly inserted and has nothing to do with anything.
- Explains Lex's plan. What exactly was Lex's plan? What did he plan to do if Doomsday killed Superman?
If not then ultimate edition is not worth my time.

It's not just about being "pretty". Watchmen and 300 were just great movies. Not everyone can translate comic to screen like that, and not everyone can execute the kind of action sequences he has done either. And there were some great action sequences in MOS.I think BvS was just above his paygrade though tbh.
He deserves some of the credit for WW. He's credited as a story writer because he's basically been shepherding these films so far. In fact WB wouldn't even have done WW before JL. They were gonna just jump straight into JL, but Snyder convinced them to do a bit of build up.
I'm guessing Whedon/Johns will take over that role of shepherding the DCEU now though. And that Patty Jenkins will do JL2.
Patty deserves all the credit.

It's like 30 minutes longer or close to it?
Yeah and basically have to wait 2 hours before Batman and Superman fight.
It fixes some pacing problems but less chance of falling asleep in the theatrical version.

Agree. Gadot deserves none 😛
It's not a bad movie, but it's probably the best in the DCUE right now, holds no candle to the animated version though.
My greatest disappointment was
Spoiler:
the general not mass producing the drug that gives him super strength and disstrabuting it to his soldier, then drop them on the battlefield and let them go ape shit till it's ran its course.Ares by himself managing to kill all the Gods, especially the big 3 without any special boost.
Ares overall human appearance when he finally revealed himself. He should have changed to a younger muscular form with either his long hair, or beard.
The armor being all cgi.
No explanations of Diana's Aegis. It was just there for some reason.
The Amazons not knowing shit about the outside world, when the comics explained that every few yrs, some Amazons are chosen to learn the way of the world and return to temescara and teach the Amazons.
The Queen been a retard.

One-dimensional directors are bad directors. I don't care how pretty Snyder makes his films look, he a poor ideas man. Give any mediocre schmuck millions of dollars and the world's best talent and they can make pretty visuals too. I mean it sucks that he's going through a personal tragedy and I have nothing but best wishes, but that doesn't mean we forgive how stupidly BvS was done. Also let's not give Snyder undue credit on Wonder Woman. Sure he's got a story credit but from producer Charles Roven himself, most of the script in its final form was birthed by Patty Jenkins and Geoff Johns. It was because of some writers guild thing that Jenkins and Johns didn't get any writing credits.
Agreed BvS was a mess (even though I liked it, it was a mess). He has made some good films, but I understand that he's primarily a cinematography-minded man sitting in a director's chair. Again, give him solid established material, he'll make a good movie. Hand him a bad script...not so much.
Acting: Good. Gadot was solid and Pine was excellent. The supporting cast did a good job bringung their characters to life as well (Charlie's introduction, lol). This was easily my biggest concern going into the film.
Character: Good. As previously said, well brought to life. The film does a good job of establishing character motivation and traits.
Cinematography: Good. Some really nice shots in this film, particularly in the battlefield scene.
Dialogue: Decent. No particularly memorable or quotable lines but conversations flowed well.
Plot: Good. It is a solid, even if somewhat formulaic charater arc. Competently executed.
Action: Good. The battle in the town was the highlight. Final fight was dissapointing both in spectacle and pacing. Too much talking breaking up the flow.
Villain: Okay. I didn't see
Spoiler:. Solid motivation and a good threat level. Didn't have nearly enough screen time/development though.
Ares' true identity coming even though I didn't think he was the general
Overall: 8.5/10, Great. Enjoyable and possibly worth a rewatch. I was very unsure about whether Gadot could carry her own film and I feel as though that question has not been entirely answered although I am significantly less nervous about the prospect.
Third place in the DCEU just behind BvS:UE (8.5), but MoS is still king in my book (9.5).
*Suicide Squad relied heavily on insert songs, so I wouldn't say the composer in that film had to bear as much weight as Zimmer did in the Snyder films or Gregson-Williams did in this one.
