Ahsoka Tano vs Old Master Maul

This might be a difficult one to answer, but lets assume for a moment that Ahsoka didn't "run away" and instead fought it out until the end. Who would have won?

Tano

Maul, IMO.

One did pretty good against Vader the other got stomped by Kanan…

This isn’t really all that difficult to answer, Ahsoka of course. Plus FPJ agrees with me, so there.

Either way. They're portrayed as equals.

I'd say either way at this point

Ahsoka was driving him back, so I'll say her in a close fight.

👆 tbh

Not sure. I dismiss the Kanan deal tbh, considering when he actually dueled Ahsoka (who's better than Kanan by a considerable margin), it was actually close, as brief a fight as it was.

I'm leaning towards Ahsoka in a very close one.

Ahsoka without a doubt. I'm also not convinced that Maul "got weaker" since TCW, but that's a different debate. At the end of the day, she left him to Kanan, who has been established as Ahsoka's inferior. We can also compare Kanan's showing against Vader with Ahsoka's. In other words, if Kanan could beat Maul so easily in sabers, a serious Ahsoka would have an even easier time. It was pretty clear that she delegated that task out of a desire to go after the "bigger fish" so to speak.

Okay... I agree Ahsoka wins... But arguing Ahsoka>Kanan>>>Maul is dumb

I wouldn't say Kanan >>> Maul, but rather Kanan >= Maul. And there's nothing you have to refute that beyond rightfully pointing out that it's bad writing and preconceived biases. Personally, I think it's ridiculous that some random Jedi Knight can beat one of the best duelists in galactic history, but it is what it is.

Whether or not Kanan really > Maul, the fact that Ahsoka left him to someone inferior to her does imply she was at least confident she could defeat him herself.

However I think the fact that she was driving him back is more compelling proof.

LOL what? She fought him for 20-30 secs then left him to be stomped by blind Kanan. Maul is weaker, no doubt about it. Holding your own for 30 secs hardly puts you on someone's level unless Dooku is on a par with Yoda now.

Ahsoka~TCWs Maul>OM Maul

They engaged each other, neither gained an advantage over the other in the 30 seconds that they fought and then she left. Kanan grabbed Maul's arm and threw him over the cliff which Maul easily recovered from as we see at the end of the episode. Given the heightened state Kanan was in I don't really see why this showing should be held against Maul.

30 seconds should be enough for us to gain a clear picture of who the superior is in a fight which we did not get. Dooku is comparable to Yoda imo though even in their fight it's clear Yoda is the one on the offensive.

Lmfao. They fought for a minute and forty seconds with Ahsoka driving him back.

Driving him back? How do you mean?

As much as I love ragging on Maul. I actually agree with Syndicate's assessment. Getting a hand on an opponent and throwing them isn't that hard to do, especially when one guy was in a heightened state and the other isn't taking his opponent seriously.

Driving him back as in Ahsoka pushing the offensive and Maul backing up.
