Esau, your first statement makes sense; your second statement makes little to none.
One, that link wasn't provided by Disney.
Two, it is precisely the reality of your first statement that filmmakers obscured by doing what they did.
Three, the lemming production was merely one of the most infamous of NUMEROUS productions that were supposed to reflect what filmmakers were actually seeing unprompted, but instead were actually orchestrating:
many nature shows and films of this era (including Disney's "True-Life Adventure" movies and the Wild Kingdom television series) staged events to capture exciting footage for their audiences ...

All this misses more important points, however, and relevant to the main topic of the thread. Namely that urban myth and propaganda often shape the thoughts of people, sometimes for generations, and this even when serious efforts are made to correct the miseducation. Also that people with agendas do, in fact, manipulate or fabricate "fact". Also that language and people's naturally dismissive attitudes are exploited to aid this process. People who view what they see on TV as fact just because it comes from an authority who "should" theoretically, be telling the truth, may be in for a rude awakening.

These discussions always devolve and are taken out of context.
Esau, why do you have to resort to that type of reply
Why do I resort to sarcasm?
Simply because when I read posts like, "Transgenders are just homos who want more attention. They should kill themselves."
OR
Stupid, inane statements that claim, animals whose habitats are threatened (scientifically known as "going ape shit."😉 tend to get hornier, breed more or resort to homosexual acts.
I am honestly left perplexed wondering if the poster is actually a troll trying to get a laugh at his offensive remarks or if he is just a mind-numbingly stupid idiot to believe in his own facts?

Where do YOU actually get your facts from? Are you aware the general populace now has misconceptions about animal behavior because the people who film documentaries have sometimes STAGED events? Link the following, or Google Disney lemmings to read about a particularly blatant instance:
Yes, I am acutely aware that one should not believe everything they see on tv as truth or a matter of fact.
But I was responding to someone who believes a bad habitat sexually arouses animals to breed & turn to homosexual acts.
I'm pointing out what utter garbage those "facts" are when you decide to counter argue by providing a link about a bunch of animal film makers faking it 58 YEARS AGO.
Do you want to provide further links to prove that migratory birds don't travel to warmer climates before breeding?
That warm weather being an assurance for abundant food & water is actually a fallacy by Hollywood?
Or frogs actually don't wait for the wet season before spawning their eggs in sufficient bodies of water to ensure tadpoles can safely metamorph into frogs?
Please provide me with a link that says they love to breed & have gay orgies in the drought.
Well I think the act of one man blowing another man is disgusting..that disgusts me. But just a guy who happens to be gay I don't really feel disgusted by the person. Sort of like how I think liver sausage is disgusting, but I don't think the people who like it are disgusting.
I have to admit though I would probably feel uncomfortable seeing two dudes making out. Not like I'd tell them to stop or do anything to them, I'd just..eh.
