As sure a thing as a broken promise.

Next episode preview show Jon has arrived with his army.

Anyway, seems they are going to go the Mad Queen route. It's going to be fun watching all the salt.

Honestly, the anti-dragon arrows sound good in theory, but really shouldn't be able to match the manuverability of those things. Especially while it's raining fire everywhere.

It should be like that scene with Bayformers Starscream vs Air Force jets, just casually dancing around their pitiful attempts to hit him.

Yeah, that was dumb. Hitting a high flying target with a ballista should be incredibly difficult and they managed it multiple times. Not to mention the whole scene was rather comedic. It came out of nowhere with no build up. Almost like something from a horror movie or dark comedy.

So how drunk was Jaime?

There was a good

Spoiler:
second or two, where they just waited while Bronn calmly reloaded his crossbow. Should have been more then enough time for both of them to rush him.

Pull a dagger, club him with something, or just wrestle the crossbow from him.

It's also dumb because how were they not aware of them? In war there are these things called "scouts" that allow you to gain an idea of what your enemies capabilities are. These are huge ass ****ing ships with huge ballistas on them and it's not as if they were hidden by some magic, they were right around the corner. We've known about the scorpions' existence since like S7 when Drogon got hit by it before. Did Dany just blindly fly right over King's Landing with no care in the world for what defenses it might have?

I don't know if I want to even finish the episode desu. I've been disgusted by everything I've seen thus far.

Bronn carries a knife, so I imagine he could make short work of them without the crossbow. He's just using it for dramatic effect.

Was that King's Landing? I thought it was Dragonstone. Either way, it was dumb as hell.

It was so dumb. Let's just park the ships and fly our only air support close to the castle. That's not gonna get a reaction. Saw what was gonna happen a mile away 😐

Oh yeah, it might have been. That would explain why it looked so weird to me when they first showed it.

I'm pretty sure a rendition of the Lord of Light/Stannis theme plays when Jamie rides away from Brienne.

The mad queen angle they are hinting at is incredibly dumb. Dani's character progression throughout the whole show's history would get thrown out.
She was mad queen like early on when she was conquering cities in Essos. After growing up and from experience/guidance from Tyrion, Varys , Jon and others , she was no longer like that, to a point. Now all of a sudden she will be mad queen cause shit has got to end in an edgy way.
The shows writing has been shitty these past seasons but this is still stupid.

This was still dumb. Two more episodes of more nonsense I guess. Also the dragons were kept alive just to be beat by pirates was dumb in both how predictable the setup was and the fact that it still have it happen anyway.

Bad episode, stuff didn't make sense. Euron needs to go away and they need to stop pretending he's a compelling character.
