Spoiler:
Varys able to teleport from Dorne back to Mereen so quickly to be standing behind Daenarys and Tyrion in the shot when they set sail for Westeros? He'd just met with Olenna Tyrell and Ellaria Sand in Dorne like 3 scenes eariler.
i assume the last scene we saw happened after Dany had already left Mareen and made a pit stop at Dorne to pick up Varys and Dornish(sp?) troops.

There are Dornish ships sailing with Dany's alliance.

i thought it was a lit finale.

pun intended.

I fking love Cersei. What an absolute beast. I thought she screwed up everything, but she came back and wiped all the chess pieces off the board. That entire scene was one of the best in the show. I know we missed out on Cleganebowl, but what we got was so much better. The acting, the dialogue, the cinematography, and the the musical score were all perfect. Cersei making good on her promise to the High Sparrows right hand chick was epic too. Holy hell at this score

YouTube video

Also, thank god we finally got Jon being a Targ and Dany setting sail. It's been a long time coming.

It was also good to see Arya finally begin her list. Walder Frey is checked off, along with a handful of his sons. Melisandre is on Arya's list too, and Jon just sent her south to her death. Finally, the bad guys are getting their much deserved justice. Tywin, Roose, and Walder Frey are all dead, which means Robb and the Red Wedding is finally avenged. All that leaves are Jaime and Cersei who absolutely beasted the season. The Lannisters have won yet again. The Starks are now back at full power with a new King of the North who has the entire north rallying behind him. Cersei is now the undisputed Queen of the seven kingdoms, with all the power that entails. Dany is at full power, as usual. We should get some epic Stark vs Lannister vs Targaryen action next season.

To me it was like the writers just went down a fan service checklist this episode. It seemed rushed.

Spoiler:
The Cersei part seemed to play out too quickly. Same with Walder Frey (which was also overly telegraphed due to the one conspicuous servant who kept staring at him and Jaime). And then they crammed in resolutions for Bran (and finally revealed Jon Snow is actually Jon Targaryen), Tyrell/Martell alliance, etc.
I think this finale would have been better served had it been a special 90 minute episode to build up some actual tension.

The King in the North scene was incredible. Especially how Lyanna Mormont put all the lords in their place.

People are acting like

Spoiler:
Cersei won, but really she's just temporarily delayed her downfall. She has no legitimacy (not that Tommen had much either) and she's all alone. The only allies the Lannisters have now are the Freys...oh wait, no, Walder is dead.

Now the Tyrells and Martells have made an alliance with Dany and the North is under Jon's control. The Lannisters are basically ****ed.

eh

That's true. If Dany allies with the Tyrells and Martells, I imagine she'll have to execute Cersei after unseating her as queen of the seven kingdoms. Which means either we'll get encouragement and gloating from Tyrion or the opposite.

I also think Melisandre might be on her way to team Dany. Littlefinger is gonna fuk everyone over. Bran and Arya will complete the Stark reunion. Also GoT is probably going to use Sam to ratchet up awareness of whitewalkers in westoros, he'll study up and then present his findings to the new queen probably.

That is something I can get behind. As long as she dies next season I'll definitely get behind the cause.

How does Arya

Spoiler:
retain the ability to change faces if she left Jaqen H'ghar and doesn't have access to the House of Black and White?

She learned how to carve faces. Remember she carved smug girls face before telling jaqen to fuk off

So I read somewhere that Targaryen tradition is to marry in the family. If that's true could Dany and Jon tie the knot. It was strongly hinted at in the last episode that Dany would marry for political alliances and who better then the king of the north

I actually appreciated how fast these events happened.

Normally I'm of a similar opinion to you that things needs to be fleshed out, but this show usually drags shit out for way too long.

The only pacing issue i had was with Arya/Walder... But even then, i cant see any way around the way they did it. I knew as soon as that girl was alone with Walder that it was actually Arya, and some people are saying they knew it was Arya at the celebration. If we were given another scene with Arya before she killed Walder, the scene woild have been even less surprising, so i dont think they could have paced it any differently.

The one death im sad about is Anne boleyn. I really liked her and wish she had escaped.

Did anyone else find the Sparrow's death to be ungratifying? I wanted to see him turned into a hypocrite or non-beleiver is the face of impending death. while his end wasnt harsh enough, i felt the b*tch the bell got too much punishment. She's about to get Elia Martel'd by zombie Mountain. Yeesh!

what's the context of the coversation being had? She certainly won in terms of killing her immediate opposition... Which is all she ever thinks about. Cersei isnt a long-game kinda player.

They have a history, but I don't see it in this case. Dany is going to want her full kingdom. She already gave up the Iron Islands to get to Westeros, but thats not a huge loss. I don't see her willingly giving up half the realm. Jon isn't going to let the North be joined back to the south. None of the Northern lords will. Thats what an marriage would end up doing. I see Jon and Dany being on opposite sides until the end tbh.

Plus, I'm also really hoping for an evil Mad Dany.

Agreed

So if Dany vs Jon turned out to be end game, you know after the Cersei/White Walker stuff....would that be considered a Dragonbowl? 😐 Also now that the North has accepted Jon, shouldn't there be something in action to take care of LittleFinger?
