Brexit, should Britain leave the EU?

On one hand, I'd like to say yes, but if we were to return to the EU I think it would be in a very compromised position. We'd have to fight tooth and nail to get in, and we wouldn't have the luxuries that we've enjoyed in our time as part of the EU. For a start, there's no way we'd be allowed to keep the Pound. And there would be plenty more things other than that, I'd imagine. We'll have to see how it goes, I guess.

That's true. If the same benefits were to apply, though, I think it would be worth it.

Assuming we get around to leaving the EU in the first place, at this stage there is a legitimate chance it won't happen. Certainly going to be a interesting few months either way.

What did you vote for, Beni? If I may know.

Yeah. The Leave camp have admitted they have no plan and have no clue what to do. Their leaders are all backing down from actually following through and are being forced to admit the promises they made were total lies. No one ever actually thought this was a real option. No one wants to be the one to actually initiate Order 66 Article 50.

Yeah, it was almost comical watching Bozo Johnson's speech after the results had been announced. You could just see the look of utter helplessness on his face when it became clear to him what had actually happened. I guess stepping down was the best thing Cameron could've done in this situation. No Tory actually wants to trigger Article 50. Farage is the only one crazy enough to actually do it but he'll never be Prime-Minister.

Can see that happening here if Trump wins. "Wait, I take it back, I'll vote for a turnip instead, I don't care!"

If you could tell me why it's better to stay than to leave, I'm all ears.

Rob will do anything the left tells him to do.

Turnip 2016. It'll be better than any other choice we have.

Loads of people don't think homosexuality should be legal. Britain is chock full of absolute twatmuffins with shit outlooks on life. Muslims have the right to be cockwaffles just the same as everyone else.

I'm not saying only muslims have issues with homosexuality. However, the difference here is people try to act like it's only a small minority of muslims that are hateful. That isn't the case..and these aren't muslims out living in caves in the middle east either.

Also it's not just homosexuality, but attitudes towards women as well. Would you say loads of people share their attitude towards women?

For everyone bitching about leaving, i haven't heard any compelling arguments for staying other than, "won't anyone think of the children?!"

There's plenty of them out there if you only did a bit of research. I might give a more in-depth reply when I have time to do so.

That is of course if you're not of the preconceived notion that the EU is some faceless bureaucratic monstrosity that is just bullying poor old England. In that case, there's no convincing you anyway.

We just lost like 350 billion pounds in a day, lol.

And yet it's an empty victory because to get good trade terms with the EU, the EU will insist on free movement of people.

Don't you think this just illustrates part of the issue though? Since wasn't them not wanting a free movement of people one of the reasons they wanted to leave in the first place?

I believe a lot of younger Muslims are more progressive with their views on homosexuality, like I said I think it'd be interesting to see a poll aimed just at younger Muslims with the same questions asked.

Gender roles and Islam is also an issue, but again, I think with younger Muslims you'd see a very different picture in what they'd say about gender equality.

That and his statistics are simply inaccurate. 😬
