Permabanned for what exactly? Not agreeing with you? Is this how you get your way around here, threaten others because they don’t agree with your Movie criticism?
Has anyone else noticed how ridiculous this guy is😂

^ If she had said that it might have gone over better. That's well said.It seems like the way she said it it just sounded like the same overreaching political correctness that everyone is so sick of. "Fu*k white male opinions" vs "I'd like to get more diverse opinions."
For what it's worth, it seems Ms. Larsen's comments were off the cuff at the event she was at, rather than a prepared and edited statement that I had worked on above. With her clarifications of her words since, I think it's more likely people who have this really confusing anger towards her was because of White Dude Fragility.

She made it a political platform. Her comments were incendiary imo.
The platform she was at was the Crystal + Lucy "Women in Film" awards. It is an award ceremony established in the 70's highlighting women's roles in Media. Her acceptance speech was very relevant to the event. I think a lot of the nerd rage is due to being uninformed about this.

Wonder Woman was a better movie and a far better example of a feminist icon imo.
Okay this is your opinion and it's totally cool and also I don't understand why you're saying this. I may be misunderstanding your placement of this statement but are you saying this means that Brie Larsen is wrong or something?

It doesn't help that out of nowhere they went: "Captain Marvel is here. She's the MOST POWERFUL superhero ever. She's awesome. She will lead the MCU etc."It all seemed forced and heavy-handed. No one, especially comic book fans, want to feel like they are being force-fed an agenda.
I mean, Captain Marvel IS here.
haha just playing around. What is upsetting about this? Like people saying it in interviews and stuff? The MCU is fluid, we've heard the same things about Black Panther leading the future of the MCU, hell we even got a whole new line-up of Avengers at the end of Ultron that was inconsequential in a lot of ways.
It's the hype train that all movies do. It's how you sell tickets. I think most people are angry because it's the first time it's a solo outing for a Female character and we all know what THEY'RE like amirite?
You said "agenda" can you break down what that is? Is the agenda that Captain Marvel is capable of throwing hands with Thanos that is pissing people off?

If you replaced 40-year-old white dude with 20-year-old black woman, Brie Larson would be first in line claiming it was racist and sexist.Stuff like this really irritates me because it reveals a shocking lack of awareness and group think.
I think you're further demonstrating a lack of understanding in her words
Okay I saw the movie on Saturday night and I’d say for me I’d rank it about a 7 out of 10.
I enjoyed Talos and thought the skrull make-up was really cool.
Thought Stan Lee’s cameo was really fun, probably one of my favorites.
My main issue with the movie (and I knew this going in) was that I can’t stand Prequels. They always make the stakes seem so low and I hate that.
Thought Carol unleashing her full powers was super rad. Really thought that fight scene where she shows off her full capability was super entertaining. Excited to see her throw down with the other Avengers.
Will review a bit more thoroughly but don’t want to get into spoilers until more folks catch it.
