Let's get down to the nitty gritty here. Was the Orlando attack a product of religious fanaticism, really? No concrete evidence that the guy was tied to ISIS. If not religion, then just homophobia? Can a Muslim, or self professed Muslim commit acts of terror not associated with Islamic motives?
You are aware you can pledge allegiance to ISIS and that ISIS has many recruitment videos on how and what to do, to be called ISIS right? Just because you are not in Syria does not mean you can't be ISIS. That would be like saying you can't be American unless you live in America.
He also pledged alligence to ISIS and Al Bagdadi on the phone with 911 and the police.

Yeah, not sure I buy into what he said though. I'll come out and say it. I think this was just a false flag attack in another attempt to get tighter controls on firearms.
Its Ironic he was government contractor. I dont think this was a false flag though. Does not fit the narrative, which white guy/cop with guns shoots black people.
Its a Muslim who kills gay people, this is the worst possible situation the liberals and media can tackle because its against all narrative.

Wait what? Are you saying someone orchestrated this shooting just to show how awful guns are? That doesn't make any sense to me.

Yea I saw it, its not a minority, its a majority. The minority thing is a lie.
There are a billion Muslims. There are a thousands that are part of terror groups (not necessarily murdering), and there are hundreds or tens that carry out mass murder. By that definition, it's a minority, but of course claiming something is a lie without any evidence clearly means you're right 👆
Also this article sheds more light:

Here is one specific story:
Just look what they are preaching at our schools here in the US.
That Israel is bad, and Hamas is good.

As much as that's true, he also said he was doing it on behalf of groups that are enemies of ISIS. Seems to me that he wasn't specifically allied to one extremist terrorist group but just the notion of Islamic extremism as a whole.
A horrid combination of ignorance and hate.
Why did he pledge allegiance to Isis and Al Baghdadi?

Does it matter what kind of gun was used?

I know he did. But he also said he was doing it for an Al Nusra front suicide bomber and they're fighting against ISIS in Syria and also expressed support for Al Qaeda and Hezbollah who have also fought against ISIS.
I actually don't think he is a part of any of those groups, I just think the dude spouted off a bunch of shit about various groups that do stuff he agree's with.
I knew this kid in school and he was a criminal, but he also talked a big game about how he was in all these big gangs and stuff. To make himself seem more important than he was. Turns out he wasn't actually a member of those gangs, but he was still definitely a criminal.

It does in the bigger sense, because if this turd who was investigated by the FBI about three years ago can easily get his hands on a gun like that and murder almost 50 people alone. What happens if actual ISIS trained terrorist get here (if they're not already), we could have what happened in Paris many times over.
What T&S said earlier is correct, we need better gun control. More thorough background checks, more communication between agencies, longer wait periods etc. It's not going to stop everyone with murder on their mind, but it will stop some and it might have stopped this fool.
