Thats a pretty shitty thing to say tbh.
Agreed. Her "natural" body is clearly thin and fit as that's how she likes to "be" most of the time.
Forcing her to gain weight because of the SJWs complaining about how thin she was is pretty shitty.
Here is the article about her responding to the criticisms that she was too thin:
Star Wars actress Daisy Ridley has said she "will not apologise" for her body in response to criticism on social media that she is too thin.An Instagram user posted a photo of Ridley's Star Wars: The Force Awakens character Rey, with a speech bubble and words inside suggesting the British star set "unrealistic expectations" for others.
The post read: "I can't believe the unrealistic expectations I'm setting for young girls. Who cast me anyway? Don't they know real women have curves?"
The 23-year-old Londoner replied and defended her figure, saying: "'Real women' are all shapes and sizes, all ethnicities, all levels of brave.
"I am a 'real woman' like every other woman in this world," she added, before deleting the Instagram post because it included the original poster's name.
So it looks like she "folded" for the SJW haters and she was forced to put on weight before principle photography started. To me...that's sad.
Also, a similar story happened with Carrie Fisher: they made her lose weight. 😬

So what exactly constitutes as "fat" anyway? Not that I really care as the SJW should already have the diversity quota fulfilled in having two fold as not only do they have a black guy and a female lead but also the addition of an asian woman as well for TLJ...if SJW are really the crux of the body shaming.
Oh and this movie is still dumb though I guess we now know the alternative as opposed to playing it safe like TFA.

In reference to this movie and Rey's character: no idea. Daisy looked fine in her role in TFA and she looked normal in TLJ.
She looked normal as opposed to a lean and athletic look that she seems to be most of the time, in real life. She clearly has a preference on her appearance so shaming her into gaining weight is kind of shitty. Just as shitty as them forcing Carrie to lose weight for Empire.

Fair point.

How so? We're not the ones demanding actors to become fat for roles...
No, but you posted that damn pic while I was eating.

TBH though, I didn't notice a difference in Rey. She was more fallible than she was in the previous movie, but bar that nothing stuck out to me.

Yah, I didn't either. I think Daisy is oddly attractive. I kinda noticed she looked a little heavier at times maybe? But hard to say. Either way she is still a good looking woman in this film.

I didn't notice it, either, until one scene that clearly used footage from TFA and she all of a sudden looked thinner (this wasn't a time jump I'm talking about: they used unused footage from TFA in TLJ and edited it into TLJ which is odd if your actors look different such as aging or weight changes...which is why this practice is generally frowned upon). Then it jumped forwards to a more recent shot and she looked normal.
😐
Then I remembered the SJW rants about her being too thin in TFA and then I got butthurt that she was probably forced to gain weight for her role.
Good stuff.
