Aquaman (2018)

Aquaman was a decent flick, but it wasn't 1 billion dollars good. I have no desire to watch it again. Wonder what makes people flock to the theaters to see movies like this? I could see it if it was a top tier character like Batman, Spiderman, or Superman, but Aquamans a shit show of a character.

You go, girl!

Well somebody just earned their Elitist Movie Prick Card.

Its is biased Beithc Think like that that allows Good Movies to fail.

Why can't people just pull their heads out of their ass holes and just enjoy things?

Aquaman is a great character, with a lot of untapped potential. WB will resign Wan for the sequel. Hopefully, they get a better script/writer.

This movie showed that you don't have to pull the Marvel Method of "If it isn't done in a Real Place. People can't Relate to it.

Closed Mined Thinking Ruins Things. Aquaman's Movie Proved that.

Marvel has movies based in space, alien planets, and Asgard.

What are you even talking about?

Which Planet does Thor seem to care about more? Asgard? Nope. EARTH!

Yeah. No I aint.

The CGI in Atlantis reminded me of the terrible effects in Green Lantern. Blurry horrible indistinguishable shite.

Every time Aquaman says "alriiight" I just think of Quagmire in Family Guy.

The bad guy king was atrocious.

The Manta guy could've been great and the sequence in Italy looked fantastic

Still... I'd hit Amber Herd but she probably had enough of that from Johnny Depp's fists.

5/10

Last I heard Atlantis is on DC Earth. Didn't know it took place in another dimension or another planet.

It is when you hear the haters say "You Can't Do Stories in Places liek Atlantis because it Isn't Relate able like Real World Places Are. People have been using that Old Tired Line about Aquman for Decades.

So yeah. it is a Tired Old Line.

Those people probably watch Prisoners and The Grey and think they aren't the bleak looking boring pieces of shit they are though.

What made people flock to see a C tier character being played by a former drug addict on his last chance in Hollywood? No one predicted Iron Man success and it would kick off a 20 film Universe.

Thing is, Iron Man is a VERY good comicbook film, one of the very best to be exact. It does most everything right.

I used to love IM, but it doesn't hold up all that well, imo. It's still the best of the IM's though.

I see what you are saying, but Iron Man was a kick ass movie (much better than Aquaman). I was just wondering what all the buzz for Aquaman is. If somebody would sit down and explain what kind of movie Aquaman was to me, I wouldn't be rushing out to see it.

Aquaman - Great scenery, good action, crap story, shotty CGI, annoying lead characters, nice introduction to some rather lesser know characters.

I liked it all in all, but I just wonder what is making people curious enough to go see it in droves.

Good marketing.

Female lust for Momoa maybe.

It might look like I'm picking on Aquaman but I'm not. I ask the same question about a lot of movies. Venom is another one. I thought that movie was absolutely awful. One of the worst comic book based movies ever, but it killed it at the box office.
