Sas I'm back on the chat tbh.

The irony of making attempts at biting comments in a thread about how the forums have evolved into nothing but that.

Here.

Well, that's the problem, but it's not the source of the problem. The source of the problem is that no one wants to debate anymore, because every argument that comes up these days has already been done past the point of death. There isn't anything new to bring to the table, because there's no new content coming out anymore, and continuing to rehash the same points repeatedly is tiresome, not fun. Even when we do, there's rarely anything interesting brought to the discussion, it's just a cluster**** of bitter pissing contests over arguments that will never be resolved. That's why most people here aren't particularly inclined to take the time go through the motions every time some new greenie shows up spouting the same BS that we've countered a thousand times in the past. Sorry? It's not going to change, though.
Then use, and take interest in new characters.

Don't just keep up with the same characters, go into different terrains.

Vader vs Revan, Plaguies vs Krayt, Caedus vs Vader.

Galen Marek vs Revan.

Its the same shit.

Lately we've been seeing stuff from Kenth Hamner.

But no one tries to use characters because they don't consider them interesting, or because they think no one will reply.

This brings up a good point. Are the currently active debaters truly interested in debate, welcoming the differing opinions, or is it just a means of trying to push their opinions on others?

Crawmerax the Laem

Nevermind, just made a new account. Approve it pls. 🙂

Well I at least try new stuff, but whenever I post, no one knows anything about the characters! So there's also another problem, in not knowing about characters other than the mainstream ones or somewhat mainstream Force Users and thus we get debates going pretty much the same thing, over and over and over again.

It's also happening on CV too.

I mean nothing against anyone, ya know, read about what you like and everything, but there's a giant **** universe of SW out there to look into.

Everyone is scared to join.

I have a friend that I was talking to over youtube comments who said he'd join if people were nicer.

Well, that isn't what he said, but he watches and agrees with a lot of Jensaarai1's videos.

He said "I'd join mate, but tbh I'd get ripped apart."

Tell him he is under the protection of myself and Kurk my latest apprentice.

You know, for once, Carthage is spot on. I'm not commenting on the people he chose to talk about, but honestly the issue with this forum is how personally people take each character's strength.

Beni will never concede on Ahsoka because he thinks he has to keep some movement going.

AP will never concede on Exile/Kun because she thinks she has to keep some movement going.

Ant will never concede on Revan because he thinks he has to keep some movement going.

I'm not going to pretend like we all don't do it to some extent, but how is anyone supposed to enjoy an actual debate when no one will ever admit defeat?

I think one way of sorting it out is to finally launch the Kaggath we've been wanting to do, but I genuinely do not have the time if I'm doing a CaV vs DMB or Beni...

I wanna say Ant said something to this effect to Ellimist a few months ago?
