Rebel, I'd like to 1v1 you on Anakin vs Vader here. It's annoying going back and forth like this - conclusive stomps are better. Are you interested?

"Gillard also reports that the duel will explain how Obi-Wan is able to defeat his protege, even though Anakin has been established as the most powerful Jedi who ever lived. 'Obi-Wan taught Anakin and Anakin has gone past him,' he notes. 'But when you get to that duel, it's emotional. That's where the mistake will be made. And if you know the characters, you know Obi-Wan isn't going to get emotional and he doesn't make mistakes.'"

The force push is in the script which was written by Lucas. Presumably, Gillard expanded the duels from what Lucas had already written.
It had Kenobi using a Force push, and then Anakin countering it with one, and then they both fly back as the energy collides.
It's notably different from Gillard's product.

"OBI-WAN and ANAKIN lock sabers. OBI-WAN puts out his hand to use the Force to push ANAKIN away. ANAKIN puts out his hand to block OBI-WAN. Both combatants are blasted backwards onto the control panels. "
😕
That's exactly what happens in the film.
