It's fine not thinking either of those movies are good, people have different tastes. It's a certain mentality and view that goes with it.

I've not seen Dark Fate yet, it hasn't looked good since the previews, so I'm waiting to watch it at home. I doubt I'll like it, but I'm not screaming "SJW!" in the meantime.

Just wait til Star Wars comes out. Even without having read all the leaks, I'm expecting it to cause a storm online.

Should be obvious, I've seen requests for proof of a woke agenda in the movie

Youre asking people to prove a negative. Which in itself indicates a bias.

Would be like me asking you to prove theres no Woke agenda in the Thor trilogy. If someone is claiming those films are woke then its for THEM to provide their evidences and arguments for that. And not for Thor fans to prove they Are Not Woke.

Where exactly have I asked anyone for proof?

That's a given regardless at this point.

Like how about we just give out legitimate criticisms of a film. Saying its woke is a dumb and lazy criticism IMO.

Example. Rey is a shit character because shes had no development, and is taking the pis with this Best Jedi ever with no training.

Thats just shit writing. End of.

You just said youve seen requests for proof of a woke agenda. And then you were asking to clarify the defence of the people demanding proof.

Stop beating around the bush and clarify why you were pointing that out.

It IS Star Wars, I suppose.

Rey, Rose, Finn (in TLJ at least), Poe, Leia, Hux, Luke, Holdo, Kylo somewhat... JFC, the sequels really need to invest in better writers.

Or have actors with the kind of attitude Hammill and Ford had back in the day, that will turn to the director and say "I'm not saying this shit".

Still wanting for you to post where I asked for proof.

Don't fall for his time-waster-troll trap. Unless you like wasting your time in endless loops?

Good luck saying "no" to the Mouse. The guy that was supposed to direct IX got fired over it.

Endless time loop would be kinda appropriate when discussing T6 😂

SPOILERS

They explain it pretty clearly in the film. That the Terminator that kills him is from a future that never happened. So you are correct that the past remains the same.

I mean frankly you come up with the same issue at the end of T2, when Judgement Day never happens, so Kyle is never sent back, so John is never born.... And yet hes still there.

Well I mean T3 did say JD was inevitable, so there isn’t a issue with Reese, at least in that timeline.

Sure if you go from the deleted ending of T2, that’s also an issue, never said it wasn’t.

Though I guess if that’s the explanation of the past remaining the same with different futures after, I guess that’s fine?

I guess it’s following what the comics and Genysis went. Comics there were versions of John who grew up normal yet still felt his other selves fighting Skynet.

Though killing him doesn’t really do much for the story as I see it, they could have just let him have a life.

Well that's the problem, isn't it. As much as I might enjoy a fair amount of those movies, it definitely feels like an assembly line at times.

That was the good thing about Lucas. He was basically the biggest independent film maker in the world. So you could say f*** off to him, without worrying your career is over now.

And think what you will of the prequels, George did listen to criticisms, hence very little to no Jar Jar in Episodes 2 & 3, and the love dialogue minimised in Episode 3.

Lucas got too much shit. Sure, the prequels had a lot of problems, but they introduced a whole bunch of things that became iconic for Star Wars. Even the bad stuff became memes. Nothing Disney has done with the ST has been remotely memorable. Lucas really was the soul of Star Wars.

This is likely because the majority of films (99.99%) fall into a variation of just a few (some say seven) basic plots. Or so it's said.

So when the back of your mind is thinking "Wait, I've seen this shit before!", it's because you have. Over and over and over...

A movie being too woke is a legit criticism. Cringeworthy dialogue is a legit criticism. What I'd call lazy is the pandering, replacing John Connor with a minority female.

And Rey is shit, but there is a woke part of her that adds to her being shitty. I've already described the scene where she slaps Finn's hand away while they are fleeing for their lives.

👆

The only problem is it seemed nobody was willing to push back against any of George's ideas by the time the prequels came around. Somebody should have sat him down and told him Jar Jar isn't gonna work.

And if he was replaced with another white male?
