Take in who? This whole conversation started with legalizing all immigrants. Are you talking about taking them in after they are legalized? That step hasnt happened yet.

There are already millions of immigrants in the country with more coming in everyday. nothing is stopping you from taking some of them in.

Im trying- making phone calls. Turns out the "adopt an immigrant" program is currently closed due to the shutdown. Maybe Ill just drive down and see if they will give me a few. Ill keep you posted about my progress in pursuing your completely reasonable scenario in response to saying maybe we shouldnt act like we are any better than another person who happened to be born south of a made-up line. Wish me luck.

Nobody is asking for to join a government program, just open your home to immigrants. so when are you going to move some in?

Go to any Home Depot and look for people in the parking lock standing around, that speak no English most of the time.

Then go use google translate and offer one of them a home and ask them to bring their family.

Guys, I did the same thing. But I was able to both adopt immediately from the US Immigration Illegal Immigrant database (with a house visit, of course, before they family would move into my place) and also I found several families in known places that were willing to move in and take refuge.

Now I have 5 people living in my home. It took me about an hour.

I'll work on getting them to become legal US Citizens, tomorrow.
