2) What you said wasn't racist. It was ingorant of larger context, but it wasn't racist. For it to be racist, you'd have to attack black people as a whole or defend the critique of a black person on the basis of his skin color.

You and dadudemon are the two people accusing my argument of holding racism, so the burden is on you to explain yourselves if you wish to. That burden is not on me, I've simply stated my views whether you like them or not.

But what I can tell you is that my response was to a poster who claimed that white people are unfairly criticized at much higher rates than black people. In the context of this statement, I argued white people are fairly criticized more than black people because they are in positions of wealth and power at much higher rates where there is the opportunity for corruption.

Then, when you refer to my statement of "if there's any group that deserves to be attacked", you try to make it seem like I'm talking about white people as a racial group. Nope, I'm talking about the rich and powerful who commit acts of titanic corrupt.

Not sure if the plain logic up above will be understood, so if you still think I'm being racist then I'm sorry we couldn't come to an understanding

You never answered my question. If the script-flip racist or not? It seems racist to me, but if you’re willing to swallow your principles like your buddy here just so you can avoid admitting you are wrong, go ahead.

But let’s make things clear:

Saying “But (racial group) deserves to be criticized more because (racial group) does/has/is more of (insert behavior/stats/situation) is not only a deflection, it is racist unto itself. It does not address my argument at all but also stereotypes a race. There is no such thing and no statistic you can throw that would justify any one race being justifiably singled out for anything. As individuals should not be defined by their race, but by their actions.

I am a very strong propponent for personal responsibility. Muslims aren’t terrorists, Black people aren’t criminals. White ppl aren’t greedy corrupt powermad racists.

It is funny how you can contradict yourself within the same argument (see underlined). Seriously, do you READ the things you type before you type it?

Nope you're misconstruing things again, I didn't say (racial group) deserves to be criticized more. I said the rich and power that are corrupt deserve to be criticized more.

The above statement has nothing whatsoever to do with white people, is that understood? That needs to be understood before we move on to the context of SqualX's post.

SqualX said that white people are unfairly criticized more frequently than black people, or roughly something like that. So now this is where white people are introduced into the conversation. I then made the point that white people are not criticized more frequently because it is ""unfair", but because they happen to hold a majority of the positions of wealth and power in America that are susceptible to corruption.

If you don't understand the distinction here you're just being unfair

I think you know what I meant by "white people are fairly criticized more". I meant that white individuals being criticized more than black individuals is a fair phenomenon because the white ones happen to hold positions of wealth and power at much higher rates.
