The Boys (Amazon)

I just saw the episode with the

Spoiler:
Spice Girls pep talk and the dolphin scene...
...

Hilarious. 😂

I'm wondering if that's really Karl Urban's accent, cause it's awesome. I guess I'll have to watch some interviews with him. He reminds me of Jack Sparrow from Pirates of the Caribbean. It's great.

See the difference?

This is poking fun at comic revamps, obviously, and none of it will stick. The show has a similar thing, only more how things actually happen, e.g. "You got two choices: Take it or find another career."

No thats clearly a fake British accent.

This show actually makes you kind of appreciate the Aquabro we got from DC.

Ha!

Well The whole point of Aquamamoa was to put an end to all the Aquaman being a joke who talks to fish thing. On that level it worked, but clearly The Boys didnt get the memo!

That scene with The Deep is one of the best in the series.

I liked Aquaman from Batman: The Brave and the Bold too.

I'm waiting for there to be a live action or cartoon version of Aquaman that utilizes psychic powers on more than fish. In the comics he can manipulate the mind of anything that came from marine life. So he could mind screw a human(he even did it to a white martian).

I liked Starlight's speech to the Christian masses. I knew I liked her.

I'm waiting to find out why this show is called "The Boys." Hm..

Haven't finished the comic or the series, so spoil me:

If pure compound V gives permanent powers, do they ever go into why Homelander never goes Plutonian on the whole operation? Not like he needs money to live, with his powers.

Do they ever go into why he doesn’t turn into a mass murdering manic? What kind of question is that. Maybe he’s not a mass murdering maniac?

The various casual murders in both the show and comics say otherwise. As if Ennis would ever write a hero that ISN'T a complete psychopath.

Spoiler:
Except Superman.

Casual murders is different then a mass murdering manic going full Plutonian

Again, Ennis.

The main point is why doesn't he simply leave? An army with flame throwers probably wouldn't work so well this time around. Odds are, he can solo the entire Seven and all secondary groups himself, if he wanted to.

Why would he want to leave? He has no reason to. He's also not apart of the military, where would he go, what would he do, hes not allowed to operate on foriegn soil.

It's just what the group of Hughie, Butcher etc. refer to themselves as.

Ah, okay. I must have missed that line. I don't understand a lot of what Butcher and the French guy say because their accents are so thick. I turned subtitles on after the first couple episodes.

It's easy to miss, it's along the lines of "what about ma and the boys?".

Is a white guy writibg a black guy with a fat mama style girlfriend racist?

That's how Ennis wrote MM.
