It's the kind of shit the media wouldn't be willing to say because they'd get roasted up and down for it, but if it's a school shooting survivor they can parade him around and hide behind the shield of "he's saying it not us" and "you can't criticize the victim"
She didn't criticize him for any arguments he did or didn't make. Being the bastion of journalistic integrity that she is (I chuckle at even using the term on her) she made fun of him for getting rejected by some colleges, because that's relevant to the gun debate. And seems he's been very successful at pushing advertisers to boycott her show, quite a few have bailed since she made that tweet. Her apology was pretty amusing, though. Essentially "In the spirit of holy week I will try to not be an ******* for a few days".
