What Jordan Peterson says

I think Peterson is very arrogant usually. I think he believes he's much smarter than he is.

This is the only Bill Maher panel w/ Peterson that I can find anywhere:

YouTube video

He doesn't say anything about anyone's motherhood or life for that matter, so idk, maybe you saw it somewhere else, Rob? If you can find the correct video post it here, I have to go to bed but I'll check back in tomorrow to watch it.

I know that Peterson uses that phrase, and it's certainly useful at times, but people seem too quick to use it these days.

Yeah when I heard him use it he said it after talking about a hitpiece that originally was headed by a picture of him photoshopped next to Hitler. What an inappropriate way to talk down to someone insinuating he's a nazi.

That's the episode, it was part of that.

That's also the one where he said people mustn't be afraid to offend others and this is mainly an issue with "the Left", then later goes on about how people need to be nicer to Trump supporters and not offend them otherwise it will tear the country apart.

Are you saying he's going to the Dunning-Kruger concert?

. . . much like other moderates such as Dave Rubin or slightly less moderates such as Ben Shapiro.

For the shit I've given Peterson, I should say that I respect him in a weird way. He's intelligent, at least very clever. He quickly figured out that there's a sizeable population of younger white males (his base) that are eagerly looking for a daddy figure type, someone to tell them everything's going to be alright while preying on their insecurities, doubts and shortcomings and he has capitalized in on that. He's a lower-end millionaire and earns between 50-80K at month (depending where you look) from donations alone.

Morals aside as one could argue that's unscrupulous, but he's very successful in what he does.

Speaking of which, how much do you want to bet DMB paid $12 for his online personality test? 😆

He didn't ask for it, maybe not, but he wholeheartedly went along with it. Painting him as some unwilling/reluctant hero archetype is faulty. He has a huge ego, massive even and now it's being feed into more than ever while making himself rich.

It's why he had to make excuses of why he was destroyed by Sam Harris instead of being humble and going "I lost that day; it happens". Ego; massive ego.

Don't get me wrong, you find him helpful in your depression; that's a good thing regardless of what I think of him.

It was the sulfides! 😆

What a ****ing clown. 😆

Jordan Peterson Derangment Syndrome is really starting to spread.

Was it? I can't find any video evidence of it, sorry. If you can find actual video evidence or a timemark where he says that, please, let me know.

Also yeah, that is the one where he asks the group what will happen to all of the disaffected Trump supporters if Trump were to be impeached, or just what will happen after Trump isn't president any more, and not one of them answers him and instead keep deflecting to Trump himself. The comment that woman makes doesn't represent what he's saying well at all, you can see that by how confused she is and how many times she changes her question as she realises she doesn't know what Peterson is saying.

Rob's own theories on that clip got slapped down though. If I cared enough I'd go track it down, but I don't.

Yes, same show, same guest panel.

That's easy to answer: they'll be anger and tears from his supporters but life in America will go on. Clinton was impeached, life went on. Nixon was about to be impeached and then removed but quit in shame instead, life went on.

Why do we need to speical-worry about what Trump supporters feel if it turns out Trump is indeed a crook?

That's actually a thing and it cost $12.00? Yeah, Peterson's clearly not in it for the $$$.

Got a link? Because that video starts at the point that the panel section starts and ends when it ends. I would really like to see this, so a link would be great.

At least you have an answer for the question. They didn't.

You should worry, because your politics is getting dangerously divisive, from the perspective of an outsider. Similar things are happening in this country, but you guys are riding a real wave of high-horse-ism at the moment, and it's starting to become less hysterical than just pure hysteria. I can see why Peterson is worried.

I've not looked, I saw the whole show on cable, my wife is a fan of Maher's

Why does Peterson seemingly think people need to special-worry over Trump supporters though and their feelings?

edit: You added. Our POTUS is the most divisive and by extension the people who support that, he ran his campaign on a "US Vs Them" foundation and he's not stopped. Shortly after winning he made a "my enemies" comment in regards to people who didn't vote/support him.

I guess it depends on what he is doing with all this cash.
