producers caving to a handful of retards with antisocial personally disorder? (real fans)

TLJ underperformed massively compared to TFA and Solo straight up bombed. That's not a "handful of retards with antisocial personally disorder". I was at the premiere of TFA. I have no interest in Star Wars anymore and neither do any of my friends or co-workers. It's a general trend with Star Wars ever since Disney took over.

I like to watch the OT still, it’s unfortunate you can’t get the original cuts of the films before Lucas altered them

since you seem to have no concept of nuance, you just go ahead and conflate dislike of a movie with rabid full-time-job rage over a movie.

iirc both Llloyd and Best have spoken about being harassed in general. Same with Christensen. There are always going to be assholes. Even the stuff about the girl that played Rose, as much as I think it was overblown, I don't believe for one second that she wasn't given at least some shit for what happened.

Her character being utter shite isn't the actress's fault, though.

Like I said; thinking that the prequels or sequels have major issues (and they do) does not put someone in the same group as the kind of assholes that say the really mean shit. TLJ was, frankly, insulting, and it has made me seriously question Disney's Star Wars division.

I know its just that no one really made an issue out of the shit that happened to Lloyd and Best. It was perfectly fine to shit on them and shit on Lucas for the prequels.

But now that Disney has it, suddenly theres something wrong with that. Its just the hypocrisy of it all I find irritating (and sometimes laughable).

Also Im sure some fans did randomly harass Lloyd and Best, but for the most part they would not have really been recognisable in real life. Jake grew older, and Ahmed was always CGI on screen. And social media wasnt really a thing. So the vast majority of their harassment was from school bullies and the media. Same media now telling people to stop raging at the sequels. Because suddenly theyre just films 😬

Nobody does that, don't kid yourself.

your obstinance is also of no concern to me, nor the point; so have it your way, m8. 👆

No, but defending a mega corporation is, apparently. 👆

👆 Exactly, it's meaningless to anyone who isn't being trolled for their misogyny.

^Would not react this way to outrage over a "the force is male" t-shirt. Guaranteed.

I would hate it equally. the force is an energy field. the notion of it actually having a gender, as per film canon? that would be a million times more pointless and stupid than midichlorians.

They should give Star Wars to Pixar writers.

They manage to be inclusive, without doing stupid things.

again, we're talking about a t-shirt, not story canon of any kind.

I hope they make another tshirt that says "The Force is Male and it Loves the Cock" for extra bonus triggering

Yeah, the old male protagonists being killed off so the Mary Sue protagonist can shine is definitely a coincidence.

They can't defend the quailty of the movies, so all that leaves them is accusations of sexism.

Yeah, if the movies were actually good nobody would care about the sex or race of the protagonist. Perfect example - T1 and T2 vs Dark Fate.

Wonder Woman is another example, I don't recall that movie getting much if any hate on this board.

Well, I thought Wonder Woman was bland at best and that Gal Gadot is a terrible, uncharismatic actress, so to each his own.

She was at least able to portray an empowered woman without constantly denigrating men or reminding us she has a vagina though.

And there wasn't this campaign to bash the movie before it even came out. The reason is because it wasn't trying to pander.

Yes it is stupid and I don't think people noting it is stupid is some sign of triggerdom.

I'm sure 4-chan has something like that.

Everyone loves Ripley. 🙂

Going by current PR of no women role models, Aliens was way ahead of its time.
