You complained non-stop about this film for about a year before it came out, you've not watched it and are still moaning about it.

Scrounge up $10.00 or so, pick the change out of your friend's sofas, break the penny jar, whatever you have to do, go watch it and then continue moaning.

Why the fvck do I have to go see a piece of shit movie that isn’t Star Wars?

It makes no sense. Leia also has almost no connection with Tatooine other than being Jabba's slave and Luke's whole deal was that he wanted to leave it as he considered it a shithole. So having Rey make their grave there rings hollow.

Oh, and Rey taking the Skywalker name was nonsense. She had very little interaction with Luke and the little she did he was a cynical *******. If she took a name it should have been Solo.

Spoiler:
True, it simply went back to Tatooine because it was the beginning of SW, but lost the magic because the new trilogy had little thing to do with it.

It tried to grasp the old formula, but completely lost the true soul and only grabbed the hair, it's not the places, not the names, but the character development and struggle that makes SW so touching.

He doesn't come close to Johnson's level of suckiness.

Considering JJ is the one who started this shitfest, I’d say they’re even.

For 42 years I have watched this whole entire saga take shape. I liked TROS a whole helluva lot. JJ should've directed all three.. Great story. Great action... seeing lando was great.. the new force powers i knew about but was glad seeing them.. every film has faults, however i do not let that play into anything.. 9.99/10

I'm going tomorrow late morning. I'm hoping for the best, but expecting a mess. Some of the snippets I read make me cringe and I fear Disney in an attempt to appease all the loudest TLJ whiners in the pursuit of the last $$$, they buggered this story up even harder than it was.

I keep seeing people go "the leaks were true!" and not in a good way. I didn't read the leaks so I have no context with which to put this into.

Episode IX was good, but painfully lacking imagination.

I mean if ep 9 was good despite lacking imagination it seems like eps 7 and 8 had too much f*cking imagination.

Fair enough.

👆

It wasnt good at all. Very Poor story telling (not even bothering to explain how this story starts the way it did), and the main villain

Spoiler:
who was developed spectacularly in the prequels
was bland as f*** in this.

Might have been good as an over the top video game. But Was piss poor as for a $200million film.

He would've handled it better without Johnson's interference, I believe.

Rotten tomatoes 56% critic, 86% audience. This at least gives me a tiny bit of hope, not much, but if the same critics who loved TLJ didn't like this movie as much...it surely has to be better.

OR its an indication to how truly bad this one is when not even the critics can defend this trilogy anymore.

JJ would have just made it even more of retread of the OT than it already is. Hes the one who began this shortest by copying ANH. And now hes ended it

Spoiler:
pretty much the same way ROTJ ended. Making this entire trilogy pointless.

@lighter, it's not letting me quote but you can't really say something sucked if you haven't seen it . You can't say something tastes bad if you haven't eaten it, you can't say something is to hard to do unless you yourself have tried.

Judging by the comments and the last two movies, yeah you can make a good guesstimate but you can't really say it sucks until you have seen it with your own eyes

@Shadow use the quickquote function next time.

It's next to the standard quote and always works.

The "nostalgia guy" approach is better than "I'm going to butcher everything, because I'm an angry midget and nobody likes my movies" approach, though.
